ch.12 The Dungeon of Spirits

The soldier immediately ran towards Recardo who seemed restless, walking back and forth around the hallway.

*Salutes

"Instructor! The gate has been cleared sir!"

"Surround the gate, call for an ambulance aswell." He commanded.

"Yes!" The soldier salutes once more, before leaving.

*Sighs

💭 "I hope thosw two are alright.." The heavy guilt he felt earlier slowly disappeared.

💭 "But...who cleared the gate?" He tried to recall his memories before the incident happened.

Touching his rough hairy chin, he stopped for a moment.

"Wait.." He mumbled.

"Where's the Executor?" His eyes widened, he suddenly remembered Letero's expression when the two students got taken by the gate.

"The gate is open!!" Another soldier safeguarding the gate shouted.

Recardo instantly ran.

Seeing the red gate slowly opened, only two people we're spotted.

"All units hold fire!" The chief said.

*Click

*Tzzt

"How many people we're taken inside the gate?" The chief called.

*Tzzt

"3 Ma'am, but my....*Tzzt se-s-r s-says 4." He replied, but the static from the earpiece disrupts their conversation.

*Tzzt

"Hello? Wolf?" She pressed the earpiece once more but no one answered.

Only the sound of static.

💭 "I didn't understand the last part, so three huh?" She didn't pay much thought to it and continued to wait.

"S-sir! The two seemed to be holding another person!" The soldier walked closer, but a loud scream inside the gate broke their communication.

*SCREAM

"Ack!" The regular humans fell down in pain, their ears began to bleed.

"My head's about to explode Argh!!" The soldier holding the sensor shouted in pain.

Only the chief and Recardo remained standing, but it still inflicted damage.

💭 "Should I call the other instructors?" He closed one of his eye, *Trickle* blood dripped down his ear.

"Player, your health status have decreased." It said.

Recardo didn't seem to care, and continued to watch the two walked outside.

He stopped smiling after seeing who went outside.

💭 "Where's that boy?" He walked closer, while avoiding the soldiers who fell on the ground.

Only Kairo and another student went outside, while Mikaela was nowhere to be seen.

Kairo was dragging a small boy's body on the ground.

"Shit!" The chief looked irritated, and ran towards Kairo.

"Student! Are you alright?!" She held Kairo's shoulders, scanning his whole body.

*Scanning complete

The chief sighed with relief after seeing the results.

"None of you are injured.." She said, patting Kairo's head.

"M-ma'am!" He stuttered, grabbing the naked boy's hand.

"Can you lock this guy up?" He asked, showing the boy covered in blood.

The chief gestured her hand to call for assistance.

But all their soldiers still couldn't move.

"I'll take him."

*Recardo stretched his arms.

"You have my thanks, Hunter." The chief said.

"My pleasure~"

*Winks

The chief's face looked disgusted after seeing a grown as man flirt with her.

Although their age doesn't seem too far off.

"Y-yeah." She replied uncomfortably.

The chief was about to call for another backup but Recardo suddenly asked Kairo a question.

"Student. Where's that boy?" His expression seemed worried.

The chief stopped the call, and asked Recardo.

"What do you mean?"

Recardo glanced at her with an anxious look.

"When they we're taken by the gate, it was two boys." He replied.

He glanced at the student hiding behind Kairo's back.

"So who are you?" He asked, his voice sounded menacing. Even the chief felt scared.

"Ah!" Kairo replied, covering the boy behind him.

"This guy's a classmate of mine! I guess he was taken too!" He added.

"S Level Gate Completed." The system announced to everyone who holds a status window.

"S?" The chief's expression turned pale.
