Chapter One - *FIRST SPRING*
Page 1- _First day of school_
"Finally my hard work paid off!," shouted Rintaro looking at the soaring blue sky from the window. She had just passed the entrance exam and had been accepted into her dream High school.
Meet Rintaro Haruno an averagely-tall teenage girl aged sixteen.
She looked down the window and saw the everlasting signpost _Asahi Avenue_ , which was the street she had lived in for ten good years. Centered in Hokkaido the big island situated North in Japan, her family lived as an average middle class stature (neither too rich nor too poor).
With Spring beginning, it was her first day of high school after advancing from middle school, and of course she wasn't sure how it would go. lt had been her dream to go to the best school ever. Although she really didn't know how her life would change for the better or for worse.
Koniaki ( _lit.Konyack_ ) was known to be the best high school ever in Hokkaido. Ratings always topped up listless from the gossips of neighbouring cities. The results needed no looking for they always stayed the same, a perfect combination of A-list scores with famous known graduates.
'This is the exact choice of school' thought Rintaro. She wanted to work hard in the best school and it seemed like her talents had taken root in middle school. In her previous school life (junior high), she had acquired an honourable student's scholarship for high school just because of her intelligence. _Little miss genius_ though, wasn't acquinted with many relatives so only a clique of friends knew of her gifts. Although well known as a high quality school, Koniaki was much suited for the wealthy. Ordinary students from the general class of families weren't much of a sight.
Luckily Rintaro had the support of her scholarship, which paid half her fee and the other covered by family. That and her impressive grades gave her a title known as an 'honour' student.
She stood-stocked up of a frissonous smile, took a glance in the mirror and went for a quick shower. Early had she woken up, inclined to stay on her goal of not getting to school late. As soon as she was done, she started wearing on her new uniform which she had stayed up almost all night looking at. A plain crimson red skirt reduced to a height before the knees, clear cotton white shirt tucked in the skirt, and a crimson red school jacket. She put on a lightweight cherry jersey covered by the jacket since it wasn't part of the school uniform. Her stockings were knee-high, which was satisfying enough in her own interests.
Rin's hair was golden-tanned with a few bangs reaching her forehead, which went well with her golden - flecked eyes. It was stroked and neatly combed back to a ponytail. Lastly she put on her red ribbon and black shoes. Bag in her arms, she ran out the door as it gave way grudgingly and with a yelling like voice said," l'm out, see ya after school!,' to her family member and was gone.
No sooner had she arrived, did she start to see wonders. There she was, in front of the school's big jet-black painted gate. The beautiful dark red (newly put every year) pavement carving its way in the school grounds made a smile form on her cheeks trickling down excitement. The walls at the gate were in crimson red and the castle-like school buildings were painted in a cream white colour. In front were adorned lined up roses in large white-with red vases convincingly marvellous. Rintaro went in as she saw cars driving in to leave their children in profiles of high classes.
Boys wore a white shirt, crimson red trouse, and a red jacket( _This only applied to junior years_). As for the seniors, boys wore a white shirt and blue trouse and girls wore a white shirt and blue skirt, knee-high. On the left upper corner of the school jacket was a logo with an eagle holding a red rose on its beak, and below written," *like eagles we fly high, subliming the clouds'* . Most students were astounded, which worked out well for Rin knowing she wasn't the only impressed freshman around. After the entrance ceremony, first years including _her_ went to check the assigned class' board. What made her even happier was that she was in first class as per exellence which was class 1-S. Her mouth was left in aghast as soon as she followed a familiar name on the list.
