Chapter 5

Page 49- _Muddled Emotions_

Strange Blonde Man.... _Ladies, welcome to Durallin's Foreign go to supermarket, my name is Stephen Durallin. I take it's your first time coming here since you're all still standing on the doorway?._

Rintarõ.... _Oh sorry sir, though we were actually about to enter, wa-wait are you the store owner!?_

The blonde man known as Stephen stretched his hand out pausing for a handshake under a bright smile. Rintaro did the same as she found his hands to be a bit cold despite the heat.

Stephen.... _Indeed i am, i'm surprised you didn't know me firsthand. You must be first timers, usually frequent customers visit my store. And sorry for my misjudged thought. But i do urge you to get in quickly, products tend to get sold out in a few minutes._

He swayed his hand towards the "welcome" doorstep bedding three pieces of an almond white shiny tiled floor.

Rintarõ.... _Thank you for the tip, we're actually here on an errand from someone so we're new. Maybe you know her, does Ayami Inata ring a bell?_

Stephen.... _You mean THE Ayami Inata!?, legendary queen of sales. Whichever shop she enters gets all products of the same type sold out in mere seconds! Of course i know her, it's quite the honor to actually see acquaintances of hers._

Kiyohime's face grew into a grin as her ears stood tense stirring up a devilish smile.

Kiyohime.... _To think the great Maiden Lady comes to places like this. I'm glad to have met you Mr Stephen Durallin! I hope to see you in the future, now please excuse us as we need to follow our master's orders._

The second princess seemed to be enjoying herself. She definitely had the eyes of someone cooking up mocking explosives and tease-gases. Meeting Ayami would definitely count for a onesided bombarding war zone. She downed a bow and marched into the shop with money in her hand and item list now-held by Rintaro. The store owner was left in confused stammer as he failed to understand what had just happened.

Contrary to the sweat-making weather outside, the shop had a very cool temperature. Both the air conditioner and wind force-spinning electric fan seemed to be doing their work splendidly. A cool chilly atmosphere brazenly seized the two story tall and long building. Rintaro moved to the left shelve beside her in search for the "Durallin Store Items". "A Kilogram pack of flour, litre-full bottle of fresh milk, a dozen crate eggs, potatoes, spaghetti and seasoning salts. The stuff was too random and paltry to call ingredients, much less authentic shopping. "I guess that's all for Dura's store?, what's this stuff for anyway?", she questioned her mind while lifting everything on the counter. She was already separated from Kiyo and Kagami who were busy checking out a normal commoner's store.

Standing on in front of the register, she found a simple but puzzling question sprout up her mind. "Why aren't people making a fuss over the princesses?" And oblivious as the ladies had acted to the serenity, Rintaro found it utmostly confusing. Leaving her goods on the register, she searched for Kiyohime with two goals in mind. First getting money to pay the bought items and second, quickly shooting out head-on questions about the strange Imperial Ohshiba family. She yelled as low and gentle not to disturb other customers as her voice could. Her head flowed with countless mysteries," i don't know anything about Keisuke but i wanna know. Why do the imperial children i've met not live at the emperor's palace?, who was that familiar person i met last night?, i've been thinking it's all weird, how come i've never heard anything about the imperial family that much!?

Sure Rintaro was unaware about most things, but the Ohshiba family was an exception to her ignorance. Why would kin to royalty much included with two presently known heirs lose that much interest to the throne? And if Keisuke and Takahiro were exceptions, why were the two princesses accompanying Haruno not attracting attention? The more questions mounted, the more her world started spinning in circles. With a heavy ache grasping her sane mind, joining her reflection in shiny tiles was inevitable.
