Page 84- _Frivolous Fright._
Merumi.... _Uhh this is the first time i've heard Asa laugh at someone's joke...!_
Somehow that didn't come up as a surprise. She did look uptight, not to mention too punctual and overprotective. A perfect replica of Ayami in a different sense. No doubt her mind wouldn't have time for moving lips to a stretched out laugh. But to her this came as a self-discovery achievement. "I had forgotten what laughing's like," she mumbled to herself while blowing out what rested on the surface of her head.
Asami.... _Thank you for bringing me back to my former self miss Haruno. (Although i don't know how you did it)_
Rintarõ.... _Y-you're welcome, i guess. (Although i'm not sure what it is i did?)_
Asami.... _Ok, let's stop this useless conversation, it's only a minute before the shop opens. Now run along or you might end up getting fired on your first day because of someone else. See you later when i pick you up._
Just like that, the car drove off leaving two sets of eyes blinking at each other. Moments later Rin was hurrying behind Ai who had keys to the back door. And of course a queue already existed at the front, much covering two blocks to the right and left. Together they entered what appeared to be an empty storeroom where they met Rin's supposed uniform. With haste she put it on printed both her exact first and last name. Needless to say, seconds were ticking down to 8:00am and soon they found themselves rushing through the inside door and charging towards the main entrance.
"All you have to do is say a morning greeting and welcome them," she whispered with echoes traveling through the spacious empty walls . Apparently they placed first on arrival and it seemed like everyone else was going to be late. Rintaro released a deep breath and checked the time. In sync with the opening hour, she moved near a red button ready to press open. After seconds of finding one little key, Ai unlocked the sliding doors signaling her friend to hit the button. Simultaneous with a deafening roaring sound, the silver shutters opened outside and so did the sliding glass doors in response to dozens of bodies outside.
Rin & Merumi.... _Good Morning and Welcome to the Durallin Foreign Go To Supermarket!_
Even though hands were stretched out to a polite stance and heads presented a short bow, no one seemed to care. None replied leaving nothing but feet rushing inside and instantly moving onto shelves of food. Only yelling rented the cool air as each individual minded their own business. And almost everyone inside was a woman hurrying towards the meat section. Exceptions included two men standing outside, of which the other one was no doubt Stephen. Beside him stood another gentleman or so were thoughts running through Rin's mind.
Merumi.... _Shall we go greet "The" boss and our fellow workers?._
Rintarõ.... _Yeah but who will stay by the register?_
Merumi.... _Don't worry about that. If Stephen has arrived, it means everyone is here._ *smiles*
She pressed a grin looking towards the counter, where Rin noticed a woman already serving a number of customers. Turning back they headed out to greet Mr Store owner and his companion. Steps later they stood still enjoying the rising sun's warm light while glaring deep into the green eyes of Stephen.
Rintarõ.... _My name is Rintarou Haruno and i've been made to work part time in your store. I hope to receive a warm welcome and promise to aid anyone with anything i can. (That sounds a bit too out of character, but nah who cares?)_
After finishing an outright cheerful introduction, her mind commented on what she thought as a frivolous note. But it was far from it, and people really did care about her words. They cared enough to find themselves exploding with contained laughter, including Merumi. Her heart was left racing with powerful thumping beats until he finally came to a stop.
