Chapter 7

Page 64- _Down the memory lane: Sequel 2_

Ayami.... _Worry not as i'll be sure to explain everything._

Rintarõ.... _Ok sorry for disturbing._

Ayami.... _From his forefathers to his great grandfather and so on, Lord Ayanami claims there's a rule or perhaps condition added to being an Ohshiba. In order to keep the lineage blessed, no emperor is allowed to reveal his children before an heir to the throne has performed the coming of age ceremony. And as such prince Kioshi was supposed to do his when he reached sixteen, in turn the nation would have knowledge of every imperial child and the next emperor. But because of the letter about former lady Kasui's death, the prince hesitated and stalled the ceremony in anger. With Keisuke gone followed by Takahiro, lord Kio took off to a boarding school within the nation. Two years passed with tension at the palace very high and unsettling. Seeing the situation, the emperor ordered me to take all imperial children to the Northern Villa permanently, that being here. Everything related to the young lords and ladies was packed and sent to me. Around the same time, news came in that prince Kioshi was ready to perform the age ceremony. Both Emperor Ayanami and Empress Nagisa (*current empress*) went to pick him up, but on their way back the young prince suddenly changed his mind and went abroad. No one knows what happened on that trip, but that very reason is why 'till now the imperial children are unknown. And some of them freely use maiden last names. No doubt each of the children were affected in some way or the other but i'd say the most were empress Kasui's sons. Lady Koemi though informed of the letter sent to Keisuke, barely reacted and kept acting as usual. Perhaps a little distant but not that much. As far as prince Kisami is concerned, he definitely hates his father no less empress Nagisa. Lord Kioshi showed his hatred by moving out the nation and cutting all connections with everyone. On the other hand, i'm sure you can guess how young lord Keisuke feels..... Each and every one of them knows this, maybe not all but most of it except for the younger twins. In a few years even they will be reaching 16 and yet the whole nation does not know any of them. I believe all the children except for Kagami and Takami loathe the emperor as we speak. It pains me to say so but there's not a single thing i can do to help. I'm certain the emperor is unable to sleep well knowing the situation at hand._

Rintarõ.... _....._

Reaching a stop, the maiden lady glared at Rin who sat with quivering eyes. Her mouth was tightly shut in silent shock, surprise, satisfaction and other bewildering emotions pushing her close to a stinging headache. She was more than blown away let alone tear-blurry assembling bits and pieces together, only to make a huge confusing puzzle. Block-like still frozen in time, she tossed a great effort to understand how complicated Kei's family was.

The first words she could make out were," why'd you tell me all this when it's clearly inappropriate for an outsider like myself to know?." Inata tuned her face from its bitterly sad expression to a shiny white smile.

Ayami.... _Call it stupidity or whatever, but i find you peculiar among anyone i've seen get close to this family. You're too understanding, generous, honest, lots more and you radiate a certain aura i can't quite explain with precision. Down to it, i simply trust you very much or maybe too much. It's not that i don't know what it means to tell you all this, but i just feel like i should._

Instead of settling down to an understanding, Rintaro swam deeper into confusion. She looked towards Ayami in stagnant quietness. In response the maid decided to calm her nerves down.

Ayami.... _I'm sure this must be all confusing but just take a deep breath and a moment to process._

Rintarõ.... _O-ok!. (Even if you ask me to, how the hell would i do that? I finally know what Keisuke went through when i was busy getting angry over him choosing to go abroad years back. And to actually think the emperor's family is this big not to mention messed up!!!)_

While busy tramping on a useless past, a sudden bang escaped from the sci-fi section set on the five organized row at the back.

To be continued....
