Chapter Three

A month after we moved into a new environment, I am yet to see the yellow girl again, I barely go out though and even if I am too it's to attend the summer lesson at my soon-to-be new school. I am in junior high school and I have one more year till I finish it. I wished I can meet the girl once again, at least to know why her skin is so different.

I don't mock though cause I believe the world is an odd place until we make it so. I was walking down from my summer lesson one day when I heard a rustle behind me. Hi, the voice said and I thought who talks like they have lost their voice to infanthood? Hi, I managed to say when I saw the yellow lady appear right in front of me. It's my lucky day I thought. Hello there Yellow I muttered giving her my best smile which in truth wasn't much, I hardly smile over anything.

She laughed at the name I called, I have never seen someone who laughs so much like her, Sorry, she said, I am Beauty and you. Eesha I said, your name precedes you I told her. I think that name should be given to you, she said to me, wow you look so beautiful, I want to touch you. Well, that creeps me up a little that's so much complement in a sentence which I am not used to, let's go gently on the touching area I said awkwardly, I am not fond of being touched. She seems not to care about my bluntness though.

I like you, can we be friends and I readily told her yes. Deep down I want to touch her too but I don't want to come off rude and also I am not fond of being touched in any way.

I started walking and she fell in line with me, where do you stay I ask her.. not far from your house she said to me. You know my house I asked her surprised and ear a chuckle. It's a small town she told me and your house is the only new house and you are the only new resident we have here. We walked in silence until we got to our house entrance, I had expected her to go when she got to her house, but she only pointed it to me and walked me to mine, I turned to tell her Bye, you don't come out often she said to me. The new area I retorted, will you come with me? If I asked, she pressed.

I didn't want to come off rude and I am curious to know who she is and why her skin colour is different from mine so I agreed and was rewarded with the infamous smile this time I smiled for the first time amused.
