Chapter 129 – All About Love Life

Third person POV

Later at the bathhouse, Robert tells about what went down in his triple date to his cousin and male friends. They were shocked to hear that, but Sol is serious, so he wasn't that shocked. Dan wasn't there because he was busy in his meeting with the soldiers of one of the three remaining barracks, while Stephen is at the palace studying administration.

"Wow, with three girls?" William commented. "So that means Emi-chan tagged along, too?"

Robert then silently nodded to say yes.

"I see," Tanaka responded. "Well, I'm a bit envious of your love life."

To that Robert became cold. "You think?"

Seeing Robert's dark aura, Tanaka apologized, "I'm sorry!"

"Really?" Sol responded to this.

After that, Robert let out a sigh. "Well then, I guessed my life as a student became much harder than it was."

Sol then commented, "Now, now, Robert, you may only choose one girl if you want to get married. Polygamy is not legal in this kingdom and elsewhere you know."

"I know, I know," replied Robert back. "But it's just so hard. All of them are equally pretty and good."

To that Harold thought, "Man, sensei is having a hard time, having a lot of girls who fell in love with him."

He then verbalized that thought to Robert.

"I know, I tried not to," Robert responded to this.

After Robert's response, Jeremiah moved a bit further away from Harold, and he admitted, "You know, cous, I never had a love life in my life."

"Me too," William responded.

"Me three," Tanaka added.

"Me neither," Harold added, too.

Sol, however, remained silent at this part.

"I already had one," Peter responded back.

"Yeah, I know that, Peter-kun," Robert replied as he soaks his sands into the warm water.

He then looked at his cousin and the rest of his friends. "I understand your feelings of not having one. I hoped one day, you guys will have one."

"Aww, thanks, Robert-kun," William replied back. "You're really a good friend."

Robert then smiled at them in response.

Meanwhile, at the female section, Blaise was a bit down. She was thinking about not being loved by her maternal grandfather again.

"He'll never love me," she though to herself, before submerging her shoulders deeper into the water. "I feel so worthless."

Meanwhile, at the underground lair beneath the Old Palace, the Lightheart reported to the Grand Founder about his failure to convince Robert and Blaise to join them. Emi was there standing at the foot of the elevated steps watching her fellow member kneeling before her leader.

"It's okay," the Grand Founder reassured in response as he stands up to place his right hand on the Lightheart's left shoulder, "we're just trying to take advantage of their vulnerable minds. We already had a lot of allies in our disposal."

He then removed his hand from the Lightheart's shoulder as the Lightheart stands up.

"Come on, let's have dinner, shall we?" the Grand Founder asked him.

Eventually, the Lightheart nodded in obedience, and he, the Grand Founder, and Emi left that room, and went to their communal dining room to have a nice, simple dinner, one last dinner before their inevitable downfall tomorrow.

At 9 o'clock, at the guesthouse, after his nightly routine of eating dinner and journaling, Robert went to bed, before looking at the ceiling.

"Tomorrow will be very hard," he thought to himself, "so I'll just use what I had learned."
