Chapter 138 – Mirai Saberheart

Third person POV

Not long after, at a large room in the main house, everyone is sitting in a seiza position as Sei served cups of hot matcha tea for the guests. Takashi was at the head of the table, with his wife and children in the sides while Robert and the others are further from that side, but not that far at all.

"So, Tanaka, how's school?" the shogun asked Tanaka.

"It's fine, father," Tanaka replied back politely. "I got a good score at my recent exam, and I'm going to be in third-year."

"That's good to hear. One more year and you'll graduate."

Robert then chimed in. "Yes, Your Highness, he is our senpai."

"Senpai?" Takashi asked back. "Are you a first-year or something?"

Sol responded confirmed it by responding, "He's going to be in second-year next month."

"Ah, I see. So, Sol-san, how's Tanaka at school?" Takashi asked Sol in response.

"He's good and well-behaved like Robert and his friends," Sol replied back.

After that, Tanaka then responded that Mirai, being a student of Kita's national school, the Taka National Academy, will be in second-year. Robert now realized that he wasn't alone at all.

After that, Tanaka explained to Robert and the others about his position and responsibilities as crowned prince and heir to the throne. Robert was amazed while William felt that he was on par with their senpai. Harold and Zarah, meanwhile, felt being left behind because they are not the heirs to their royal families' thrones, but neither of them felt so down. Zarah still wanted to remain in her position as the princess of Saheda while Harold still had high hopes to be Vanworth's next king. The latter then expressed that desire and dream to the shogun and crowned prince and Mirai.

"Wow, the next king?" Takashi commented in response. "I thought the eldest son should be first in line to the throne."

"Yeah, but I know that he would abdicate it at any time in the future," Harold responded back.

"I see."

"Woah, that was so cool," Tanaka commented in response. "I'll totally support that!"

"Yeah, me too," Peter added.

To them Harold happily replied, "Thanks, you guys."

But, Takashi decided to not get involved in that but instead, he will watch what will happen in the future.

After all that, Mirai revealed to Robert and the others her desire to beat Sol in a duel.

"Okay, what? Headmaster Sol?" Robert responded to that.

"Yes, so I could outsmart him," Mirai replied back.

  "Really?" Zarah responded.

But, Sol then responded that he was too tired to fight her, much to Mirai's disappointment.

At that point, Robert is now wondering what drove Mirai to want to beat his school headmaster.

After that, Emi admitted her past crimes to the shogun. Takashi was surprised to hear that, knowing that her clan were the main leading clan of tutors for his royal house for generations. But he understood her act of repentance and allowed her into his shogunate. Emi then bowed her head deeply in gratitude for a few seconds, promising to make amends with her clan in response.

Robert, Blaise, and the others are happy to see that.
