Sudden Arrival

Seeing the judge suddenly take my phone, I was instantly silenced, staring at him. His face looked furious, annoyed, and full of anger. I didn't know why the judge suddenly acted like that.

"What's going on? Why did you snatch my phone like that?" I asked. "You're with me right now. Why do you have to answer this unimportant call?" the judge replied curtly.

I was taken aback. I knew, he didn't like Axel, but this seemed excessive to me. Eventually, I realized he might be trying to set me up with his friend Varel. Finally, I told him I had to go home, claiming that my mother called me and asked me to Come back immediately because she needed me to accompany her shopping. "I'm going home now. My mother called and asked me to come back right away," I said as I walked towards the exit of the basketball court.

Hakim felt that Summer might be angry with him because he suddenly appeared and ended the conversation abruptly. Hakim didn't want Summer to become more attached to Axel. Hakim wanted to end his sister's relationship with that guy because Hakim had a feeling and a belief that the guy was not worthy of her.

On the other hand, Axel was currently confused. He couldn't reach Summer at all. And Hakim cut him off abruptly. Axel felt guilty about the previous incident. For some reason, he felt shouldn't have left Summer alone with her parents for so long, especially with her father. Axel finally decided to go to Summer's house. Despite having many work commitments, Axel put them aside and went to Summer's residence.

Summer finally arrived home, greeted by her parents. Her mother looked puzzled, staring at Summer, who came in with a sullen face. She immediately approached Summer.

"What's wrong with your face? Did something happen? Where did your brother take you?" my mother asked persistently. Feeling too lazy to answer, I just looked at my mother and sighed deeply before leaving and entering my room. My mother kept calling me, asking for an explanation, but I completely ignored her.

"Why is my life getting more complicated? It wasn't this complicated before," I complained. I never expected that everything would become so complicated now. Somehow, I felt like I wanted to break free from everything and isolate myself where no one knew me, then start a new life. But that was just a daydream. The reality was that I had to work and earn my living because I didn't want to burden anyone, including my parents.

"Ugh! Annoying!" I exclaimed in frustration.

Summer's mother was worried about her daughter; she wondered if she was forcing Summer to get married too quickly, making Summer no longer as cheerful as before. However, if not, she feared that Summer would spend her old age alone, which was the heaviest thought underlying her current attitude.

"DING DONG—" the doorbell rang.

Summer's mother quickly approached the door. When she opened it, she was surprised to see her future son-in-law suddenly appear without notice. Axel came in with a basket of fruits and some sweet cakes from a renowned hotel.

"Oh, Axel, come in, come in, dear," Summer's mother greeted and invited Axel inside. "DAD!!! Axel's here!" she shouted, calling her husband was in his study. Shortly afterward, Summer's father came over to Axel and chatted with him while waiting for his wife, who was calling their daughter.

"Dear—Summer—," my mother's voice called from behind my room's door. I was lying on the bed, quickly stood up, and approached the door to open it.

"What's up, Mom? I'm tired," I said with a bit of irritation. "Axel is downstairs. Hurry, change your clothes, and come down. Got it? Mom's waiting," she said. "Huh? What? Who? Axel?" I exclaimed in surprise with wide eyes. "Yes, hurry," she continued, then left my room.

I was shocked to hear that Axel came to my house without informing me first. What could be his purpose and intention to come so suddenly? Was it because of the previous incident? Did he come to apologize because I always ignored his calls? Or was there something else he might do? Wait a minute, he wouldn't reveal the truth to my parents, right? Oh, shit! I have to meet him immediately.

I quickly changed my clothes, paying no attention to my appearance. I grabbed my sweater and put it on, still wearing the basketball pants from before. Even my long hair was left messy. I rushed out of my room and approached Axel, who was with my parents.

Axel, was talking to Summer's father, was suddenly surprised by the sight of Summer In front of him. Axel wondered if the Summer in front of him now was the same person he knew before. Axel thought that Summer looked completely different this time, To the point that he seemed equally surprised as Summer's mother.

Summer's mother remained silent, staring at Summer, who looked very disheveled at that moment. She felt that it seemed like Summer had lost her mind because she met her boyfriend with such a messy appearance. It was like seeing a ghost, that's how Summer's mother felt. She stared at her daughter and gestured for her to go back to her room and change her appearance.

As usual, I didn't understand the expression on my mother's face this time. I saw Axel and my mother looking surprised at that moment. I had no idea what made them like that. Meanwhile, my father seemed ordinary. In fact, he even smiled as he looked at me.

"Summer! Hey! Ck! That—" my mother said while mimicking something I didn't understand. "What? What's going on?" I replied. Suddenly, Axel also smiled like my father. My mother looked embarrassed seeing Axel suddenly acting like that.

"Ugh, this child!" my mother muttered, then approached me, who was standing in front of the glass door leading to the living room. My mother pulled my hand away from the living room and told me that I had to go back to my room, and look in the mirror. At first, I felt that I looked fine.

However, my mother kept pushing me to quickly return to my room, implying a smile on her face while looking at Axel. I became more and more curious about what was happening.
