Chapter 1

Kai had always been a romantic at heart. He loved the idea of love and had always dreamt of finding someone who would sweep him off his feet. He had been in relationships before, but they had all ended in heartbreak. Kai had given up on finding love, and he had accepted that it was not meant to be.

It was a cold December evening when Kai met her. He was walking home from work when he saw her standing in front of a cherry blossom tree. The tree was in full bloom, which was unusual for this time of year. The cherry blossoms were a beautiful shade of pink, and they looked like they were dancing in the wind. Kai couldn't take his eyes off the girl standing in front of the tree.

She was wearing a long, red coat that reached her knees. Her hair was tied up in a messy bun, and a few strands were blowing in the wind. She had a book in her hand, and she seemed to be lost in thought. Kai approached her, and as he got closer, he could see that she was crying.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

She looked up at him, and he could see the tears streaming down her face. "I'm fine," she said, but her voice was shaky.

Kai sat down beside her, and she turned to face him. "My name is Sakura," she said, wiping her tears away.

"I'm Kai," he said, smiling at her. They sat in silence for a few moments, watching the cherry blossoms dance in the wind.

"Isn't it strange?" Sakura said, breaking the silence. "These cherry blossoms should have bloomed in the spring, but here they are, in December."

"It's like a miracle," Kai said, smiling at her.

They talked for hours, and as they walked home together, Kai felt like he had known Sakura his entire life. It was as if they were meant to meet under that cherry blossom tree.

As they said goodbye, Kai felt a sense of loss. He didn't want the night to end, and he didn't want to say goodbye to Sakura. As she walked away, he couldn't take his eyes off her. He knew that he had fallen in love with her, and he didn't know what to do.
