Kiera was about to leave the classroom when she bumped into someone's firm chest. She hit her nose hard and gasped in pain before rubbing her sore nose. She didn't forget to look up at that person to give him an apology.
"I'm sor..." Her words stuck in her throat when she saw how handsome he was. He was so tall and handsome with a muscular body. His eyes were lowered and he was currently looking down at the girl whose head reached his chest. Actually, Kiera wasn't a short girl. It was just that the boy was so tall... Too tall like a coconut tree. Tall and skinny but good-looking.
He completely ignored her presence as if she didn't exist before stepping inside the class with a hand in his pant pocket. Kiera was curious. 'Is he a new student?'
She turned around and sneaked a peek at him for one last time before heading towards the washroom.
After fulfilling her need, Kiera came back to the class and took a seat from the front row, the usual spot she used to sit. She secretly looked around to find the boy and to her disappointment, he was nowhere to be seen. Maybe he was in the last row.. However, she didn't dare to twist her body just to look at that handsome guy.
The teacher came inside with a happy smile on her face. Apparently, she was in a rare good mood. She marked the register before averting her gaze to the new student.
"Dylan," She called out to him. "Come forward and introduce yourself to your friends."
The boy clearly didn't like that idea. Nevertheless, he swallowed his unhappiness and went forward before standing next to the teacher's table.
"Hi, I'm Dylan Ringstorm from Genhai village. Nice to meet you." He blurted out without interest. His poker face didn't show any emotions.
The teacher raised her eyebrows before looking at him from head to toe. "That's it?" She asked in disbelief.
Dylan nodded his head without hesitation. The teacher couldn't help but sigh. "Okay, go back to your seat then."
'Oh, his name is Dylan.' Kiera thought. Her lips subconsciously lifted up to a smile.
Later that day when school was over, Kiera was about to leave the class after the others. She often left after others did because she never felt the need to rush home. She stood up and leisurely packed her bag when she accidentally noticed Dylan walking past her and one of his books inside the bag dropped to the floor making a small sound.
Dylan didn't notice that because he was wearing headphones. Humming a song, he left the class with his long strides. Kiera was stupefied for a moment before digesting what had happened. She quickly picked up his book and ran after him.
Alas! She couldn't catch up with his long legs no matter how fast she ran. Soon, he disappeared from her eyesight.
-Sigh-
Kiera clutched the book and whispered, "Since you have given it to me on purpose or not, I'm gonna keep it with me until tomorrow."
She put his book inside her bag and ran outside the school and finally towards her car. She wasn't from a filthy wealthy family. However, she was still a rich young lady otherwise how could she manage to cover the school fees? Hinara high school was the most popular school among rich people in Elnich town.
Kiera ordered her driver to go to her home, nope, it should be a mini-mansion. It wasn't as big as a castle-like mansion nonetheless, it was still a mansion though it wasn't that big.
Kiera leaned against the back seat and closed her eyes to take a nap. She continued sleeping until she reached her home. After taking a bath and her lunch, she started doing her homework till the evening arrived.
Kiera let out a loud yawn and stretched her arms. Eventually, she recalled Dylan's book. "Oh, shit! I completely forgot about it."
She pulled the bag to her side and unzipped it before taking out Dylan's book. It was a not-so-small book with a glittering blue cover. Suddenly, Kiera felt a little guilty.
"You threw it at me. So I'm not doing something bad by reading your private diary." She mumbled as if to console herself before flipping through the book.
It wasn't a diary as she expected. But it was similar to a diary. Her eyes reddened the moment she started reading the book. Fortunately, she had completed her homework beforehand. Now she had the entire night to read his book.
'Dear Sunflower,
Do you know why I call you sunflower? Because of your obsession towards sunflowers. I can give you a basket full of sunflowers if you allow me to do so. But I know... You will never love a poor guy like me. You helped us out of kindness that day. I know you didn't mean anything else.
I'm poor. But it doesn't mean I hate rich people. But my heart hurts when I think of you holding hands with your rich boyfriend. Can you hear the shuttering sound of my heart just now? You might not believe me. But I'm actually crying right now.
I have one request, little sunflower! Please wait for me, will ya? I know I'm being selfish. But I can't help it. I want to make you mine. You're mine and mine only. I know it's just my wishful thinking.
I want to smack their heads who say that love at first sight isn't true. To me, it's absolutely true! I fell in love with you the moment I saw your warm smile.
That day, my heart was beating crazy like a drum. Whenever I recall it, it starts throbbing again. Just... I know how much I love you. The stupidest thing is... I have never seen you for like ten years and I don't know what you look like.
The heck! I don't care even if you are the ugliest girl on this planet. In my eyes, you'll always be the most beautiful girl. But I know you're beautiful, your heart is beautiful and that's enough for me.
I don't know your address, your name, or even your town. But I have one goal. I'll work hard and become a billionaire. Yeah, currently it sounds hilarious indeed. But I know if I poured my heart and soul into something, I'll end up achieving it no matter what. I'm not being narcissistic here. I just know that as a fact.
After becoming rich, my next goal is to find you. I'll do whatever it takes to find you, sunflower. It's a promise. If I find out you're married by then... It will surely be the end of my life. I just wish that you won't get married, until our encounter. I want to be your husband and cherish you till my last breath.
So little sunflower, I'll use this book as a diary or whatever. I want to let you know everything about myself. I don't want to hide anything from you because I know I would never do something bad intentionally. Especially, cheating! I hate it to my bones!
I already imagined how I would act the day we meet for the first time in our lives. I'll run towards you and pull you into my arms and tightly hold you without letting you go. I'm scared.
If I let you go, what do I do if you disappear from my eyesight? You may feel awkward. I use this book to erase it. After reading this book, you would naturally realize what kind of a person I am.
I'm sleepy now. I'll write to you tomorrow as well. Bye, good night little sunflower! Aaah, one more thing!
I Love You!!!
-Chubby boy from the past'
Kiera blinked her eyes, kind of stupefied. 'Gosh, he is so skinny but he used to be a chubby boy. Why did he become so skinny like that? Isn't he eating properly?' Kiera's heart ached as she thought.
'Little sunflower girl, I hope you guys will meet soon and get back together. Don't forget to command him to eat properly, okay? If he refuses to eat, you must forcefully feed him!' Kiera chuckled as she thought. Then she sighed before closing the book.
'I hope you'll definitely find her, dear chubby boy from the past. I wish you good luck!'
