Erin and Erika were standing in front of a massive double- door swing gate at least 10 metres in height, with the insignia of an eagle spreading its wings with a book in its claw attached to each side of the gate.
"Master, here's your badge." She handed him a badge of an eagle with its wings closed.
"What's the use of it?"
"They said that once you enter through the gate, you'll understand." She tried asking the guards, but they refused to share any of the information with her, and even when she tried offering them some quick cash, they didn't budge.
"Well, all we have to do is enter, and then we'll know our answers." He started walking toward the gate, followed by Erika.
When he passed through the gate, he felt a little pain in his head, but he couldn't care less about the pain as he looked at the surroundings, which were a forest instead of the garden he saw from the outside of the gate.
A few minutes had passed, but he couldn't see any sign of Erika.
'What do I do now?' Now that he was sure that she wasn't in here, he stood up, trying to find the reason behind the sudden teleportation.
Suddenly, he felt a movement in his upper pocket. Looking at the cause of it. The eagle was fluttering its wings as if asking him to unhook it.
Erin unhook the badge, freeing the eagle which started to fly in front of his eyes.
"What is this thing?"
"Listen students. The test is simple, all you have to do is reach the school building before tomorrow. If you can't, then see you next year." He heard the voice of a female from the beak of the eagle.
'Is this thing going to keep an eye on me?' After the eagle had made the announcement, it started flying above his head while locking its eyes on him.
'So where should I go?' As he was thinking which direction to go in, he heard the same female voice.
"Oh ya, i forgot, If your life is in danger then don't worry the badge will help you. Try to live."
'Oh, what is that?' Erin noticed a weird sign in the tree on the side.
"Congratulations, student, you have found a clue to the exit." This time the voice was robotic.
'Let's look for some other clue.' Looking at the magic circle, he knew it was out of his league so he decided to completely skip it.
He broke a branch from a tree and threw it lightly in the air. The branch landed with its smaller end facing northeast and its bigger end facing northwest.
'So, I'm going toward the northeast.'
_________
He was running through the woods when he heard a roar in the distance.
'Where did that come from?' This was the first monster he would have seen since the test had started, so he decided to go see what monster it was.
When he got closer to the source of the roar, he saw a cat girl fighting a 10-metre-long Ogre.
He chose to sit on a nearby tree branch and watch the fight.
'Let's see how these guys fight.' This would be the first time he would see a person of his age fight, so he was little interested in the ongoing battle.
The ogre swings its fists at the girl, but she backflips to avoid the blow.
Following her action, the ogre swings his other arm in the air. The girl used her sword as a footing and lunged forward, striking the ogre in the stomach with her sword, but the cut wasn't deep enough to kill it.
The ogre tightened his stomach, causing her sword to stick in his stomach, and threw a punch at her.
She let go of her sword and flipped back; the ogre followed through and threw a kick at the girl. She dodged by side stepping and took out a dagger from her waist and threw it towards its eyes.
The Ogre instinctively puts his hand over his eyes to protect the most vulnerable part of his body.
Taking advantage of the moment, she kicked the ground, launched herself at full force, and kicked at the same place, where the sword was stuck.
The sword pierced its entire stomach.
'Thud'
It fell face first on the ground.
When she went to pick up her sword, she left behind the body of the Ogre. As she was picking her sword, the Ogre opened up his eyes and roared,
Looking at the woman in front of its eyes, it threw the punch with all of its remaining strength. When she heard the roar, she instinctively looked back, but couldn't help but despair at the coming punch. She closed her eyes as if accepting her fate.
After a while, feeling nothing, she gathered her courage, opened her right eye, and took a peek. What she saw wasn't heaven or hell, like she was imagining, but a transparent force field blocking the punch.
Erin, who watched the whole show from a nearby tree, had a frown on his face.
'Why was she dancing around instead of targeting its legs?' Looking at the girl as she was teleporting from the area, he couldn't help but feel disappointed.
'Whatever, if this is the level of the academy, then I might actually drop out of it.' He jumped from the tree, landing in front of the almost dead ogre.
He looked into the eyes of an almost dead ogre, then stomped on his head with his foot.
Good job, student, on killing an ogre. You have earned 100 points; for you to pass the exam, you need 900 more points.
'Sigh, I thought it would be more challenging.' He had expected more from the dean, after what his grandma had told him about her.
<3 hour later>
Erin was standing above the dead body of a giant wolf, which was at least triple the size of his own.
"Congratulations Student. You have passed the exam." He heard the robotic voice of the eagle. The next second, a magic circle appeared below his body, and he was teleported.
When he opened his eyes, he was standing in a dome like field along with multiple people who had cleared the exam before him.
Among them was also Erika, who rushed to his side when he teleported.
"Master, how did you pass the exam?" asked Erika.
"All I had to do was hunt some monsters."
"Oh."
Then they started a conversation while people kept getting teleported into the area.
One hour had passed but nothing happened… then two hours, still nothing happened… three… four…. Time went on and it was already for the exam to end.
________
Inside an office room, a beautiful woman in her mid thirties was sitting alone in a chair with multiple screens in front of her eyes.
"Tsk, to think they would pressure me to lower the exam standards." She wasn't happy in the least with the decision made during the meeting.
'Let's see how you'll like my surprise.' With a little smile on her face she decided to press the button on her desk.
"Students, we will be starting the second round of the exam."
To Be Continued…
The masked man standing inside Aurora's office with dark circles below his eyes. Last night all he had been doing was picking Golden Tickets spread throughout the area.
So, duchess these are the gifts from the constellation readers. He placed the three golden tickets on to the desk.
She looked at the tickets, one by one, the first one had the name [Samuel_Greyson], the second one had [Hamish_Cooper] and the last one had the name[Samuel_cannon] written.
She picked the ticket with one [Samuel_Greyson] 'What an interesting name. how will Samuel sound as a baby name?'
'What am I thinking..!' Her cheeks turned a little red as she placed the ticket back into the desk.
