They have ample time before Theresa Whitelock meets her untimely end. That's why Albrecht was in no hurry to feed the medicine to her.
Even though he expressed a great dislike to their suggestion, Anastasia and Claude still bowed their heads and continued asking him for the favor. They firmly believed that this was the only way.
"Why don't you do it then?" Albrecht raised his voice as he pointed at Claude who immediately backed away with a look of disbelief on his face.
"Haah?!" Claude returned as if that was the most ridiculous idea he'd ever heard. "Do you hear yourself right now? Me? Kissing my mom on the lips? No way!"
Claude was strongly against it, and Anastasia vehemently shook her head in agreement.
"Then wouldn't it be even weirder if I were to do it?" Albrecht asked back.
Everyone in the room shook their heads, even the maids who were present disagreed with Albrecht's statement.
There was no getting out on this one, and Albrecht slowly became aware of it.
He took a step back and looked at the Mother of Life Cooking Pot which was tucked away in the corner of the room. The room was spacious, so the Mother of Life Cooking Pot didn't get in the way at all. There was a clear blue liquid in the pot, which was the cure to the sleeping sickness.
[Item: Sleeping Sickness Cure (F/S-Rank)— a mixture of normal herbs used to cure the common sickness caused by the Zecian Aura. A high-leveled healer could mix the cure without the use of a divine artifact. In ancient times, sleeping sickness was considered an incurable disease. It all changed when the cure was discovered (obviously!)]
Albrecht winked at the System window that popped up in front of him. He could've sworn that there was a hint of sarcasm in the description of the cure.
His attention then shifted back to the vampires in the room, and they still didn't budge. They want him to perform the mouth-to-mouth, and they seemed too adamant about it.
—
A minute passed, and Albrecht finally realized why they were so hell-bent on their suggestion. First of all, he was the one who procured the cure, and there was no guarantee whether the cure would work or not.
Anastasia and Claude somewhat trusted him at this point, but there was a chance that he was playing them for fools. They badly wanted to trust him. Nevertheless, their mother might die due to their blind trust.
"So that's how it was, huh," Albrecht muttered to himself. He finally understood why they wanted him to perform the mouth-to-mouth.
This was to ensure that he would intake the cure before feeding it to their mother. If he planned on poisoning her, then he would be poisoned as well... unless, of course, he already prepared the antidote beforehand and injected it into his system— which was least likely to happen.
There was also a chance wherein he had the antidote on hand. Considering that there were a lot of powerful vampires in the room, they'll be able to subdue Albrecht and take the antidote by force.
"All right then," Albrecht heaved a sigh as he headed to the Mother of Life Cooking Pot. After grabbing two vials of the cure from the pot, he put the pot back in his spatial storage space. He'd have plenty of uses for it at a later date.
Quite frankly, Anastasia and Claude didn't think too far regarding their circumstance. They honestly just found it weird to kiss their mom on the lips. It was a different case for the maids and Walterford Whitelock though since they didn't trust Albrecht at all.
"All right, here I go." Albrecht pointed out, putting the two vials in his mouth and drinking half of it. He then walked forward toward Theresa Whitelock who was peacefully lying on her bed.
Albrecht gulped and almost choked on the liquid in his mouth. Somehow, the entire situation made him feel a modicum of embarrassment.
Theresa Whitelock had an air of royalty in her. It was unlike any vampire Albrecht had ever met.
She had snow-white skin that glowed despite being a vampire, and her fingers were carefully placed on her bosom, which appeared considerably big even though they were carefully wrapped and enveloped with a thick dress that covered her entire body.
Her lips were pale pink, and it reminded Albrecht of the cherry blossoms in spring.
—
He gulped a second time.
He couldn't believe that he would kiss someone that high-leveled (in more ways than one).
—
At this point, Anastasia, Claude, and everyone else in the room started having second thoughts. They couldn't bear to imagine what would happen to them if they were to report what happened to the chieftess.
After all, once she wakes up, they'd have no choice but to report everything down to the minutest of details. And it would only be a matter of time before they started talking about how she was cured.
This time, they were the ones who gulped as Albrecht leaned in.
—
Albrecht felt the ominous stares he received from Walterford and the others. He could tell that they were about to change their minds and it reversed his psychology altogether.
One moment, he was against doing it, the next moment, he needed to do it before they changed their minds.
Without thinking twice, Albrecht closed his eyes and locked lips with Theresa Whitelock. He carefully pushed her tongue in to open her teeth and then he delivered the medicine.
He made sure to put in a little pressure so Theresa would really swallow the medicine. It would be bad if the medicine was left in her mouth and he had to kiss her again to push down the liquid.
'Well... that wasn't a bad idea... that wasn't a bad idea at all.' Albrecht said to himself. For a moment, he wanted to let go.
But he realized that he didn't want to undergo the embarrassment a second time so he went on with the procedure.
A light glow appeared all over Theresa Whitelock's body and Albrecht heaved a sigh of relief.
The cure had worked.

[Emergency Quest (Time Quest): 'Cure Chieftess Theresa Whitelock of her Sleeping Sickness' Complete!]
—
Even though the completion of the emergency quest appeared in front of Albrecht, he continued to feed the medicine until his mouth was completely empty. He wanted to make sure that the cure would have maximum effects.
When he finally let go, he was absolutely certain that the cure had worked, and that Theresa Whitelock would wake up from her temporary coma.
To his surprise, Theresa was staring into his eyes straight to his soul. And by the looks of it, she had been awake for a good minute now.
