Hyrula, The Second Champion

"What the—"

What greeted Albrecht on the other side of the Zecian Portal was something much worse than the First Champion.

It was the Second Champion?!

"What the—" Albrecht screamed as he fell on his rear side.

From what the System could gather, the First Champion had the features of a humanoid entity with drills for its appendages. It was proficient in both defense and offense due to its hardened drills. If driven into a corner, it would be able to dig its way into anything, whether it was a brick or metal wall.

But right now, what was in front of him was something far more threatening than the First Champion. The Second Champion was a humanoid figure as well, and it looked like a woman in her late twenties.

Except that woman had six arms, and it floated in the sky with its transparent sparkly robe. It wore a nightgown, and Albrecht could faintly see the curvaceous figure of the woman underneath her thin clothing. Her face was prepossessing as well, almost divine (based on Albrecht's biased account)

Of course, the System had information regarding the Second Champion, but in no way was Albrecht prepared to fight it.

Albrecht knew that not everything could be seen through with stats. Things like berserk mode, final forms, or simply overpowered buffs that would raise the stats in a snap of a finger. And that's not counting the pressure and bloodthirst of the enemy which could disorient the other party before they could even gather themselves.

Fortunately, the Second Champion Hyrula didn't attack Albrecht while he was sitting. He immediately got up, activating both his 'Calm Mind' and 'Chronos Reversion' skills.

[Skill 'Chronos Reversion' activated]

[Skill 'Calm Mind' activated]

[Calm Mind (F-Rank)— A simple skill that allows the user to have a calm mind. This basic skill cannot cancel sophisticated skills such as 'Bloodthirst' or 'Taunt' but it works effectively when the user is in a genuine, normal state of fear or panic.]

He had the urge to tap into his exclusive blessing ('Blessing of Space and Time') but he figured that he would just overwhelm himself for no good reason and expend more energy.

Right now, Albrecht got a vague idea of how powerful Hyrula was so he started thinking up countermeasures while praying under his breath. There was no way he could defeat Hyrula by himself— no, he needed divine intervention or more.

"And why do I have to fight the Second Champion in the first place?!" He complained, blaming the System for not knowing this would happen. Then again, the System couldn't have expected something like this to happen.

After all, in all the records in different dimensions, this was the first time this happened. Besides, this wasn't the first time such an incident happened so Albrecht couldn't really blame the System for anything. He could only blame himself for not expecting the unexpected and preparing for it.

Hyrula opened what seemed like a black portal on top of her head and a beam shot off from it, causing Albrecht to scamper on his feet to avoid the beam. What he didn't know was that multiple beams could actually fire off from the black portal, so no matter where he dodged, he was met with a beam that would probably incinerate him on the touch. '

To top it all off, Hyrula started singing. She was already using her special skill 'Blackhole Beam' and now she was pressuring him with 'Incantations of Frost'. This skill gives Satoshi a 'frozen' debuff, which enveloped his body with coldness and rendered him almost immobile.

[Skill 'Song of Winter' activated]

To Hyrula's surprise, Albrecht just got faster and faster the more she used her 'Incantations of Frost'. However, she assumed that Kazuichi was just that fast and she needed to raise its effectiveness. Because of that, she continued using her skill while she shot him with beams.

Albrecht swung back and forth like a pendulum, dodging the Blackhole Beam that pierced through the air. He had already gotten used to the timing of the Blackhole Beam, and the 'Incantations of Frost' continued to boost his speed and agility. Fortunately, Hyrula was a bit slow for a Second Champion, and she didn't comprehend the fact that she was indirectly buffing Albrecht with her skill.

Grunting, Hyrula flashed her fangs at Albrecht before she used another skill. This time, she used her skill 'Breath of the Wild'.

[Breath of the Wild (Unique, S-Rank)— inflicts 'taunt', 'freeze', 'injury', 'bloodthirst', and 'illusion' on the target. Slows the target's movement by 50% and surrounds the entire area with a cold haze which grants the user an additional 50% movement speed, 50% agility, 20% quick casting, and 10% attack speed. Increases recovery and 'HP Regeneration' by 25%.]

"What kind of a sick skill is that?!" Albrecht exclaimed. Just from one glance, he could tell that the move was so broken Hyrula would easily defeat him just by using this skill alone.

However, right now, she was actually triple-casting, using her skill 'Blackhole Beam', 'Breath of the Wild', and 'Incantations of Frost'. Even Albrecht knew it was overkill since he was just a mere level 2.

Albrecht's eyes started dimming as the effects of the 'Breath of the Wild' got the better of him. Nevertheless, he could still sense the blackhole beams and the presence of Hyrula so he was able to dodge a couple of her attacks as he continued to dash through the slippery frozen floor. Then again, he knew he wouldn't last long enough with all these debuffs in place.

[Multiple debuffs detected]

[System override initiated]

[Due to multiple debuffs and the significant gap in levels, all debuffs are canceled]

"Thanks System, I still want to slap you across the face though," Albrecht called out as his blurred vision started to clear up.
