Wave 1/100: Earth Sand Golems

A six-winged faery with four slits of scarlet as its eyes, the Immortal Fireflower completely bloomed in the middle of the battlefield just when the battle was about to ensue. Although it wasn't a double full moon, the Immortal Fireflower bloomed since it was completely under Albrecht as one of his summons.

For a couple of seconds, the Immortal Fireflower had no idea where it was, and it looked around with a curious gaze while keenly observing the humans around her. She knew that they were humans since she'd encountered some of them in Fjormir's Realm.

Nervousness almost overcame her and she almost melted everyone in sight. Fortunately, Albrecht was quick enough to woo her into calming down and she exhaled— or so that's what it looked like.

"What's that?" Sheila asked in a low voice. Since she knew little of the world outside their outerlayer, she had no idea whether the faery in front of her was common or not. As such, she didn't raise her voice and only leaned in toward Albrecht before asking her question.

"You'll know soon enough," Albrecht responded with utmost confidence as the steady thumps and groans of the monsters radiated on the battlefield.

Even Theresa and Yukina had no idea what kind of faery they were seeing. They knew it was a faery and that it was a girl, but as to what type of faery it was, they could only wonder. Albrecht reveled in the sight of everyone's confusion as he inwardly chuckled.

This was going to be their trump card. And Albrecht had decided to use it at the most opportune moment. Despite the fact that Albrecht summoned her first thing, he didn't intend to utilize her just yet.

"All right, here it comes! Everyone, brace yourself!" Sun Wu screamed at the Heroes of Relics as they got into position.

For a moment back there, Albrecht stepped forward. His body seemed to move at Sun Wu's command even though he wasn't part of the Heroes of Relics anymore. It's as if it is ingrained in his body since he had the habit of doing it for the past six months.

"Are you all right, Albrecht?" Yukina asked, her white hair snakes hissing at Albrecht as if to ask the same question.

"Yes, I'm all right. How about Phina? Is she awake right now?" Albrecht asked, referring to the Adamantium Goliath Snake they nicknamed Phina.

The summoner's ring started shaking, indicating that Phina wanted to join in on the fun as well. There was also the Lightning Fire Lion who was itching to fight, but Albrecht didn't pull them out of the ring. As much as he could, he wanted to deal with all the waves by himself, and then just ask for help when he couldn't do it anymore.

'Besides, this might be one of those times where I could level up. I can feel it.' Albrecht thought to himself as he licked his lips in anticipation.

Just as expected, the monsters that came out of the Zecian Portals were all Earth Sand Golems. They had the same appearance as normal golems, it's just that their bodies consisted of both Earth and Sand.

[Earth Sand Golems (C-Rank)— Typically found in the desert, the Earth Sand Golems could grow into monumental sizes depending on the sheer area of the forest. Earth Sand Golems are casually timid,

Albrecht had to look twice at the level of the Earth Sand Golems since the System seemed to put a word there. He blinked twice, then he questioned the System before closing the window and ignoring what he just saw. Nice.

The first Earth Sand Golem reached the Heroes of Relics and they immediately entered into combat. Skills upon skills were used for buffs and debuffs, then Alexander stepped right in front of the team to tank the Earth Sand Golems while the others dealt damage. They were a pretty all-rounded team, that's why all of them were formidable enough in offense to stand on their own.

"Marie! Tone down the frost, will you? I'm freezing in here." Alexander flashed a smile at Marie Netoinne, who wielded her fan weapon to exact frost on the Earth Sand Golems, rendering them immobile so the others could deal with them easily.

The Heroes of Lomenschwaal entered the fight next, then the other teams were thrown into the mix since the Earth Golems had completely surrounded them. The Earth Golems were far superior in numbers, but every Hero present was higher-leveled on average. That's why they could deal with the first wave so easily.

One post was defended by Isaias Asclepius himself, and he did it with ease. Despite wearing what seemed to be heavy armor, he was mobile enough to defend and attack the Earth Sand Golems at the same time. He was truly befitting of the title Mystic Rank.

No one knows he's the famed first Mystic Rank Adventurer though, that's why the other Heroes just assumed that he was showing off or something along those lines.

As for Albrecht, he too dealt with the first wave on his own. Using his skill 'Vampire Metamorphosis' and equipping 'Sariel Death Scythe', Albrecht turned into a vampire, and he began zipping through the air, slicing off the Earth Sand Golems' heads near their post.

Just like the Mystic Rank Adventurer, Albrecht dealt with the Earth Sand Golems with ease. He was just Level 2, and is considered a Bronze-Rank Adventurer. Yet he was on par with the Mystic Rank Adventurer Isaias Asclepius himself.

At random times, some of the heroes thought that they'd be able to do what Albrecht nd Isaias were doing. However, they weren't irrational enough to break their formation while the wave was going on.

Just when they defeated the last Earth Sand Golem, the notification resounded, and the second wave commenced before they could even deal with the sheer amount of Earth Sand Golems' corpses littered all over the place.

"We can't even catch our breath. What do we do with these?" Chloe Petrine asked their leader, Destin Cainsz (Heroes of Lomenschwaal).

"I got it." Albrecht offered, putting all the corpses in his infinite space storage before anyone could react.
