"Your children are awake." Riley put her cold feet on my back, giving me a nudge.
"Mine?" I teased and grasped her foot, hauling her closer to me. "I thought they were both of ours."
I massaged her feet before sliding my hand up her thigh and her contented sigh had me wishing we could stay in bed all day.
"Mom, Dad, Jenax broke one of my feathers," Krelay cried.
"And you stole my colors," Jenax shouted back. "Ewww, Brex just threw up on the rug."
Riley patted my hand, pulling the covers up to her chin. "You promised to take them flying so Brex will stop making summersaults until he gets dizzy."
"You could help." I kissed her cheek, selfishly wanting to keep her with me. Even after these years that have flown by and I can never get enough of her. Of her sweet scent, the way her mind works out everything from puzzles to helping our children balance their blended heritage, to the way she feels under my hands and me buried deep inside her.
