Two days later, I was feeling better. I'd ridden out the Open House gatherings in my room. Everyone was quarantined in their rooms with Olsen and the teachers discussing how to handle the situation of the dark mages while keeping the rest of the students safe.
While I waited, I had made it through several of the books Kento had given me before I'd tried to spell them into my brain.
I set aside the book on weaving spells and found a book on tarot cards underneath. Now that sounded interesting. I open the glossy pages and smiled. Each card had its own page with a hand-painted design, then the title and definition. I flipped to the Three of Swords card, reading the definition:
The Three of Swords card conjures up complex feelings and even heartache or heartbreak. Swords represent air, which is equivalent to blood in ancient Greek Alchemy. Therefore, one interpretation of this card is to inject new blood into the heart, suggested new ideas or energy is charged in it.
