14 Brought in

"Pancakes, blueberries pecan maple syrup and unsweetened ice tea." She smiles tight lip with a soft under purr in her throat. She lifted the plate just smelling the fresh pancakes of buttery bacon scent, the pan had been greased with bacon. The plate of a full English breakfast is placed at the headmaster, coffee poured, and sugar stirred in for him. He nods thanks to the staff member, and they are left to enjoy this big breakfast. She could sit still while enjoying this, feet dancing about as she incorrectly uses the fork and knife in devouring the pancakes. She is most definitely purring, and he can't ignore this sound.

"I had a question that doesn't make sense." He softly spoke as he then sipped the coffee to wait for her acknowledgment of conversation. She at least looks at him, so he puts his coffee down, "Was time always broken or did whatever happen to you break it?"

She finished her bite and wipes her hands before reaching for her drink. She stares blankly for the answer to translate with eventually looking to him. Her tone stays causally in a chatty childish manner.

"In what aspects? Time reverting in the living realms is just a unique aspect of this universe. There is no other universe with this system. Or at least that has a lasting soul population. Those other universes may have this natural but this is only one that clings living souls." She replies, "But in tearing the mid teir of heaven out of existence. Some time aspects have broken. No longer is it living realms that revert. Now heaven reverts to... causing a disconnecting glitching among angels... and gods. The gods not affected are those that don't exist among the clouds." She used both hands to now take a big drink of her ice tea. Like any child, wipes face with her sleeve. She gulps down most of her drink. Then she continued to tears away more pancake as the headmaster tries to comprehend this godless answer.

"This is why the angelic courts are not syncing with undertaker kingdoms." He moped in dismay, "Will this be fixed?" Sounding hopeful at the last part.

"No." She used her dark voice in that short reply. He posed surrendered hands in not pushing that further. Her human side stays focused on her breakfast. Her mask hovers as if seated beside, staring at space. Who knows what the dark side of her was actually doing. She cleaned that plate at the same time he felt finished with that breakfast. He sits having a growing headache from stressful thoughts. He can't command her to get on with things. He was afraid of her, she knows it too.

"The monster your having issue with is a soul snatcher." She softly mutters in placing her fork and knife straight on the cleaned plate, "Humans with bits of soul missing are the ones in coma. It doesn't like eating humans but rather uses them as bait. It intentions in eating grim reapers and other guardians of humans." She finally used the napkin like she should have in the first place. Uses the condensation of her tea to wet it, remove the sticky syrup off her face, hands and arms. He stares like he didn't believe that, "It clearly came from a curse. Most don't last among the living realm unless someone is sustaining its strain by a curse contract. There must be some sort of dark rumor or discomfort among the humans."

He frowns as he knew exactly where that been some obvious things. He doesn't want to say it to her as it has to do with her two humans. Her mother and brother having issue settling.

"There been a lot of fighting with the boy from your family." He huffed give in with some sort of answer, "I swear he starting to live in my office."

"My brother has ADHD and is meant to be on medication for it. We are too poor to afford it." She tossed the used napkin to the plate and he blinks several times, "Ignoring my family names. We were excluded by both sides. There was no money for nice things. It was starve with air conditioning turned on or have food but not cool air." He looked at her cleaned plate. That was more then enough but she over ate her fill. Her clothing was nothing expensive and barely having personal possessions spoke plenty compared to all those other humans here. Her mother was the same, lacked barely anything. So now... that lack of medicine for this brother. This explains a lot. His behavior matched but they always refused assistance. Having no money does that, "Use my wages to help them." She holds her tea with both hands, "I will protect the boundaries in exchange of assistance. I will not take your position in sigil but I will work close of the things you need to send high levels for. I will even cover courts problems. Even if it means being in god court." She finished the tea, "But I am not a servant. We are just using each other. Consider it a demon using another."

"But you eat demons." He reminds her.

"I eat the abnormalities that could break law." She puts the cup down with a clatter, " The snatcher is prey that I have legal pride of poaching."

"Eliza!" She looks up and a big genuine smile breaks in. She got off that seat and ran in big hug to her mom. Clasp together in strong unending grasp. A mother in deep relief to see her daughter unharmed. The headmaster watching from the distance, he thinks deep of what scheme this girl is playing at. He can't unseen the broken monster that shadows her afterimage. At least he did the right thing of putting those two humans in the best to provide rooms. Now that thing in human girl shape was his ally. He doesn't need to fear God court threats if he had any. A pet monster to keep other monsters of his land in command.

"What is she?" The undertaker walking up with looking at the happy reunion. Right arm still in the sling and hair a slight mess as he can't use his hands to bursh it neatly.

"That's what happened to a human soul that refused to shatter and now the dust is self-aware. It can see through even gods. Clearly it should have been altered into a god slayer but... it still hold a humanity inside and out." The headmaster allows the undertaker to sit with him, "She clearly saved your life." Looking at the arm of the undertaker. Looking on the creaked clay ring around the neck and the soft sunk eyes. An undertaker on his way out.

"God slayer? A god slayer soul in a human living body." Looking at how disconnected from the image she is now. The girl shows drawings to her mom while they hold hands. Letting the little girl bleed ears of her loved ones.

"Sigil can't level rank it." The headmaster knocked the table and servants quick to clean, "I consulted a cog ranker... they couldn't even measure her." The fast caught of each others eyes, "Even the god of death cannot fathom how to fix that. She is soul dust... but willpower of sentient demand keeps her retained. She is a cloud of unfiltered masses. She can see through curtains that we could never imagine. So many secrets. She came back from the multiverse corridors. It was the only thing the cog ranker could tell me. From that, I can only educate a guess that she didn't come back here willingly for nothing. There is something beyond our scope. She is the only one on the ground." The demon headmaster frowns, "She deals with things too high, then even me. I am the keeper of this hell realm. I would go at a guess she would be no different towards your monarch as she is with me. If you dislike her causal comfort, you might want to fear when she stops being human with you."

The undertaker watched the girl. Everyone, even several death gods, has said she was a monster. But he was there as her last moments of being human. She was human when saving his life. He can't undo this view of just a human girl struggling with her abilities. He can't see a monster.

"How did you come about this alliance?" The undertaker made headmater stop walking away. The headmaster makes the last look back at the girl and to the undertaker that looked bored.

"She ate half my servants before I could realize she spoke words." He turned away, "Those servants are gone. Unwritten in any tome that reapers can access." The snicker of disbelief by the undertaker, "Don't you think you should maybe go talk to her. Ask her things that a human shouldn't know." The headmaster leaves for good. He has other things to worry about.

"Eliza. We can't have pets here." Her mom lowered to eye level with her daughter, "I don't think the headmaster would allow you keeping a cat."

"But... it will get rid of his rat problems. If not a cat, a couple of snakes. It's natural. Better then using biological warfare." She slides her feet about the floor.

"Does this cat deal with the big other problem he asked you about?" A lady demon teacher lowering to join this conversation.

"Well. No but it get rid of the maggots." She speaks so cute as a child and unfiltered expressions. Her mom huffed at how unlady like it is to use these terms while the demon frowns quietly. A girl isn't using human terms.

"We have a trail week. One cat only." The compromise, "If the headmaster doesn't like it, we can at least understand why." The girl plucked a cat from thin air and pets it. She lets it to the floor.

"Ragnar, you will be protecting this place. Both the school and the palace. Eat only the ones that shouldn't be here. You must assess if they have express permission with the lord. You must not eat the servants and we both had that talk about people. Maybe you can have a few minor nightmares as a treat." The cat was out fast. She smiles in a nod, "That leaves the other 5 to sleep a little longer but this space is too small for all five." She frowns, "I will have to make some letters to some friends."

"Eliza I hope you meant humans." Her mom plucking her light weighted daughter. The shock of how to light her daughter weight is.

"You don't need to know." Eliza cross arms, "You haven't even finished the demonata records. So you wouldn't even fathom the difference political systems in competition for boundaries." Her mom frowns in how her own daughter was terrifying depth knowledge of all this.

"Eliza!" She put down for her to hug her brother. She smaller than she should be, he holds her in shock of how skinny and sickly she feels. He looks towards mom in that same worrying. Brushed both top of thier heads. The demon in a lady teacher form softly nods with a soft shoulder tap.

"The little miss should go find which room you want and get yourself prepared for that request." Which Eliza clapped a moment. The sheer speed of the clap was echo and made everyone sort of blink. She was already changed into a different outfit, smells clean and was taking something out from her pocket. She got it out and hands both her brother and mom a charm hung off a cord of black. They don't question things and merely put the necklaces on. She smile thin lip once more and twirls.

"I am going for a walk within the grounds. A catch you all up later." She gives big hugs again and was bolted fast to a code lock door. She tip toe while input of the code and pushed it open at ease. This was a short cut through into the theater and the back of the school library. She takes a seat at the balcony off the side, looking down at students taking a seat for morning assembly. The grade group in here were those just starting and the year group she been allocated among. She sits at the floor looking down and sent her mask to sit as a late joined student. Everything that was stated on the welcome pamphlet was gone over one last time, the basic rules and need to knows. The boring stuff aside the main show began, of demons showing themselves unfiltered and undertakers. There was also an angel whom is here to look after some the nicer students.

"It maybe a little advanced to have me come forward but I am going to be spotted around more often." Her shadow riase from the seat, altered height and shape into a thin hourglass lady. The mask itself was no face at all showing, and the clothes were what gave her nickname of Marionette. As she is completely hollow through her stomach area and she wisps of shadow seems like strings. She stands sort of using the undertakers to hide herself.

"We are just examples of the sort common and uncommon entities that have a presence. We will maintain a mock human shape most times but not always." The secretary of the head master is a chunky torso demon of spindle limbs. The fingers extended with talon nails. She stomps heel in getting student attention from the conversations. All turned silent of the cat that walked in. The cat was cute and pounced for something, and caught it. It bats the unseen thing around for a little bit. It peers and dances steps of seeing the mask marionette. Nose pushed the object to her. She lowered pets the cat form, took the object it was playing with. She nods with a soft purr and it nods and scampers away. She also picked up the other objects that been left here, as she lifted these things - the turned visible. Like the death scythe, which began to rust and fade into powder. She holds a clump of stones in her hands, soft tilt and purr.

"Madam Marionette... is there anything you wished to add?" The masked shadow of Eliza stops purring and put these stones through the hole of her torso. She waved a sassy gesture with her right hand along the stage. Whatever issue seems dusted away.

"A reminder to those whom have second face. If I caught anyone not in class, I will drag you back there. As you guess." She had the shadow remove its face, "I know you and I will not tolerate problems you make in trying to use your names. I don't fear your background, wealth, or power." She had the mask back on and it studies every student.

"Yeah those of masked abilities. It doesn't matter that you can multitask. You are to be fully present for your classes, shadow included." There a soft respected nod to the secretary and now the shadow took seat back where it was before, "Do not pet the cat." The demon secretary added, "It's not a cat. I don't want have any corpses buried before turn of 5 grade." Wags talon finger.

"Excuse me small human child. Why are you seated here?" Her living side ignores the stranger talking at her. But they softly seated beside her, looking down at the students. Following where her head is aimed. Pondering what she can see that they can't.

"One last thing." The secretary takes a moment, "This school is not run by humans. The rules we follow are closer to demon culture. If you can pass human exams before your government required age, then you are allowed to be excluded from those subjects. But we have alternatives classes for you to attend, thus your aren't being left doing nothing in scheduling hours. Attendance is highly important to us, as it is for you humans. But we don't let things slide unless there as direct permissions from the headmaster or me."

Eliza finally caught some interesting insight of why the soul snatcher was attached here. She just watched a group of 'popular kids' change the flow energy around them. Whatever was being discussed between them is now causing weakness in ward protections of the students around them. Following no sooner that some minor inflected curse was plastered on a hurt student. It is this weakness of protection and the inflected minor curse that was a recipe for baiting this student as the next snatcher soul victim. Although she can't prove this, and will have stake out other potentials.

"Your..." The message carrier was stopped from speaking with a hand wave. She scans the crowd as they began to exit rows. Her mask staying seated watching them leaving in orderly fashion. They made passive comments about her and that some finally notices she is also seated on the side walkway. A relative of hers snarls and purposely casted a curse her way. She broke that curse and it backfired on the caster. A minor inflected pain. They moved as pack wolves do, to lick wounds for another attempt later. The last student making way down, she got up and now sat herself on the seat of the victim. She look at the perspective and view of the stage. The last student watched as her mask climbs stairs and sits where the popular kids sat. Looking at the furniture and the view of the stage. She figures it out and stands now. She took hold of her mask and wears it to her face. Eyes carved through, void black clouds as her eyes closed. Focusing in softening the energy flows.

"So the rumors that a human was sacrificed to clothus was true." He carried the same sort of suit style as her little white haired undertaker. She even agure that the clothes were being on loan.

"Clothus were once human people but the home realm fell apart around them. They had to adapt in order to forgo the laws we take for granted." She crushed a curse stone and pours it to a seal jar. She slips it away, "they nearly accomplished stealing the index of this universe." She watched he lack of reaction. She sits back down, "Your left hand man was very broken when he fell in my lap. You really should give the man a holiday until his arm recovers."

"Well... if we were human yes." The monarch in having been seen through sits beside her and she sits down now that he did, "But this is the frist time I seen a broken right arms man come back from a suicide mission. The anatomy of a undertaker isn't the same as a human. We rely on the flow of our soul to contorl the vessels we formed in clay. Disruption to vital areas such as the casting hand, our hearts and our binding rings. This is certain disposal of our clay shape and that our souls are moved on the next existence we are." He looks ahead, "My man has a broken right arm. His heart was removed and shattered. He has no partner thus no binding. He clinging on whatever thread you caused in trying to save him. You certainly succeeded saving him."

"So his quality of work took a nose dive since?" She asked.

"The opposite affect. He to useful to not work but I also know he shouldn't be. You been the only thing to excuse him from his normal line of duty. So forgive him being a bother." She snorted in retort.

"It's nice to have someone at my back. I can't trust you or him. But the fundamental laws that you are undertakers, you have a duty and obligations in how you protect humans. This is the only certainty that can be guaranteed, whether I like it or not." She noticed a large chains of reget. A thick and weighted chain. This burden is hurting him. She noticed that there a small thin necklace chain through his chest. She gazed about how differently the collar is folded. She peers about his fancy leather boots. She took in these small things. The short shaved style of modern age. This monarch a recent sort of death, new to not only being the monarch but as an undertaker. It could be he died a few time reverts ago but he fits in with today. He could understand modern atmospheres unlike other undertakers she noted. She was quite done staring at him and peers to the stage. Her eyes looking at something not visible. The energy flows. Chains of regerts and sins. The sort of memories and soul this particular room carries.
