Joining the campfire 81

The sea of the edge of this universe. The sea is the acting space and time of everything that happens then, now and it's future. All contained in the sea depths. There is black sand barrier that stretched as the coastal beach and upon this is unknown lands. land of this no place are full of things that aren't as they seem. Not even the palm tree sway was from air currents but the community of the flesh trees in conversation to each other. However this 'place' is 'where' she accepts being most.

The hand that could reach into the ocean waves to pull others to her side if they adapted against the current time space laws. Her little camp fire is her own made trick. A sort of made warmth to company her in lonely times. It also is her guide, often the flicker of light shows her things of human life timeline events. This camp fire glows when she felt most in alone in this darkness. A beacon reminding her of why she does what she does. Visitors of land come to join her at the camp fire by the bench log, but they leave as soon as they arrive in retrospective. Alone in soaking in this campfire is the only past time she recalls having at all.

"Eliza." She heard at the ocean depth, she assumes it was about time to make return. The campfire was the sign to what direction her paper portal back is, to walk into tome pages and return back to her flat. She hides it away upon reaching the other side. Obedience to the routine of things, hovered in listening intense to her neighbours movements. She makes she her gate is all sorted and another new adjustment of her mock human features was corrected. She exits her room and stands the banister watching the routine of beings among mages. Back here again.

"You seem to thin around the arms." She heard as he leaned at the banister at her side. It's rare he seems at all comfortable near her. But it's an act. He was just more afraid of someone else and hopes she makes a great meat sheild. She can see through act, and was equally interested in the alert nature. He was actually waiting for the same freinds from yesterday. They all been on some sort of trial with the other god followers. All the kids are being tested for being divine or cursed. It seems the kids aren't informed and are afraid of the actions the mages and god followers were taking.

"The ability to discern between those of pure intent and those against the majority are keen skills of god followers. But they are set a different way to each other and from how you view the world. I would say they are more blind to what is then you are." She says to him but it would seems his so preoccupied that it didn't matter for him. He doesn't even want to hear half sound advice from her on the best of days. So she sighed lengthfully and in change her posture drastically. Leaning at the banister bored and now looked down at the stalls of market in little happiness.

"What's that discontent for?" He picked up that much.

"Aren't those of the damned meant to be in discontent with how things became of their chooses?" She throws her left hand in being generalised enough for it to make human sense. He took that at least, "If you ever need me, I am not afraid of stepping into the light or any sort of hell-" She was saying as now then omens appears to collect his follower, "oh, it looks like the lord finally has a talon on your shoulder. But still take care the both of you. They are unsettled around here. There destabilizing energy undoing the fabric here." They both didn't understand that. He follows as Omens shows him to walk. There was a glance back to her and how she was sad today. That she cut herself speaking, avoiding omens. It's that she can interact with his god even if he struggled at some days to have the sight working properly. She loosens his blindfolds gradually each day, and not to make him see all to soon. It will fall from his eyes soon. He would stop approaching her then, maybe.

"Mistress Marionette." A creature not often a visit to her, "Your camp fire has a visitor." She scoops the monster from not infecting this world to much and returns back to her flat today. Door left unlocked behind as it wouldn't matter. Normal humans can't enter drawings. She lets it free upon crossing the pages through to the abyss sea front.

The sea breaths, gushing the salty air through her thin puppet stick body. Whistles in the turbulence, her hand shields her eyes as the strains of her own hair dances the currents. She held strong, softly sunk into the slow acting quicksand. A strong tibal crash pushed her from the spot, and she is forced to take cover. Swaying in each staggered step to the area of the beach she made camp at. She takes a seat at her spot, her hand tossing a new log to energies her flame pit.

Today was one the sibilings of the goddess that is known as lady summons. This guy was an outcast sibiling that was rejected from the universe for being to much. Black body camouflage with the beachfront of greys and darks. The more normal things are here, the more dangerous they are. So he looks like a weak thing in that. But don't judge a god by his cover. Maybe his wearing this look as she wears hers. He was a mass of strains of threads, barely into a torso and even less a neck to face. Yet there is enough to work where eyes beaded from and that he worked joints by untied knots along his backing. Lifting in seeing her take seat on the log beside him. He tilted impressed that she wasn't afraid of his inhuman way, as all the other creatures has so far trembled in fear of him while being here. He then did that god thing, they all do that deep stare inside. Ending into a twist of confusion for why she is.

"Aren't you just a mortal human?" She smirks gentle of how God's soul read others. She hasn't a doubt he was listening to her soul blabbing about everything. She has so many fragments and voices, louder then the sea. She sits getting comfortable as it was going to be a long silence for now. His listening to her more inner voices, "I watched what you did to help across the other worlds." She lightly lifted up as he suddenly speaks out loud again, "You gained so much talent and you could out do the other gods at their own jobs. It wouldn't matter that you interfered with the universe. A droplet making waves but it will all settle eventually." She glares at him in wondering why his trying to make her the reason of chaos. Maybe in her doing so benefits putting him back in without rejection.

"Go have your own swim." She points to the water taking a low tone in feeling disrespected , "If you want it change why they don't need you, give them a reason yourself. Give them something they can't ignore. Believe me when I said I tried." She shakes in being felt sad of being unwanted, "One those trees was in my aunts back garden."

"That's interesting." He looked about the beach of the creatures. Nature has its way of being apropo. The creatures trying to caught things to eat as always. Eating the things that come out of the water or come in to reach the water. A bird like being was snapped up by a tree trap and crunched loudly of popping the bird body. The god at her side stares upon the brutality in a lot of changing expressions. She held hand on her empty stomach, the scar of what was a gaping hole once.

"What is that called?" He pointed at something else. She looks that way, sees the mock creature and turned away.

"Depends on what you know to look at." Her reply and standing up. She bows to the thing and offered seat. It bows too and sits across from them in the fire's light. The corpse it wears is easier to smell and see now, "tasty clothus house." She postures a lot of gestures to communicate to the corpse parasite within. The worm reptile that puppets the corpse. She speaks the time space language that they came from, having met survivors of that broken worlds. It wags happy to met her and happier that she speaks their language. It sliced a piece of corpse in peace offering and Eliza has her return of goods to trade. Mute speaking but all hand taps as she is in bidding talk to the creature for its rubbish. It had no value in the metal and gemstones this clothus had in life. In exchange was from meat harvested from the things that are parasites to god eaters. Cooked and prepared to not infect. Its just jerky now. Now that the cat crawler and girl have made their peace, a meal is shared. Eliza eating the offering it gave as it ate her offering it gave it. A very native American approach of sharing peace, carried as universally understood to trust each other. It shares the warm of the camp fire in the akward silence.

"This is a female cat crawller. They speak broken human languages in a hybird tongue. It's easier to share gestured meanings too. They often live by puppeting the corpses of things found along their travels." Eliza explains to the god at her side, "They are broken and twisted as the clothus. A varation of when time collasped the barrier between life and death. Creatures of both and not. But they carry a more animal appraoch of intellegence, simple enough to not over complicate things. They are cats, for sure. In dicisive of taking you for the next corpse or stealing your stuff. Sometimes they want someone to talk to, as the abyss is a lonely place of isolation." She tilted in offer of a part of clothus meat, "But any other soul would do anything to just to be. If you lose yourself here, you are nothing. Nothing but the nest pile of scraps." he accepted a peice in showed tasting it. He about vomited from the taste and barely manages it down. The cat crawller laughed at him, "Maybe dont eat things that you're not adapted to handle." patting him as he gave in to vomit.

"But good meaning to try. Young little soul. So much to grow." the cat nodding.

"It's beautiful out there." She posed to the sea and it looks out. Eyes sparkle, purring followed softly. A gush of salt breeze and the two monsters in mockry enjoys this moment.

"Yet so dangerous." the cat tilting away, "You should be careful half clothus. Them worlds break to easy." it stands and drags itself into the deeper brush of land dunes. The god still vomiting. She pulls a cocktail from her belt, and he downed it without asking. Weakly gasping over the log limb.

"Half clothus..." He repeated and she sigh in nodding at this fact.

"My biologial father made a deal to clothus. His soul was converted into one. My soul name... that's what he gave them. I was the index keeper. It doesnt matter anymore. I put this all back to how it should be." She looking out to the sea and all its creatures, "It's good enough for a mortal to pull off." he lifted himself to look at that way that she does, "The clothus break the laws here... used me. Puppeted me. I held revenge. I held guilt too. My way now is my price. An outsider with cog rank. Forced to exisit on this black sand beach. Just out of reach." He looked down and she turned attention to the camp fire, tossing a log again, "I have been thinking. Thinking about a lot. But I know the turth of things. I shouldnt as a human but I do. You know why, you said it yourself... I could out do the gods. But I dont have to." she lowered in warming her hands in the energy, "I am just one soul. I don't have to be alone. And I am not. I carry a lot of other souls. They dont belong to the sea." She retreats back, "What if you joined with Omen's? Gods are just a collection of souls in grouping. You're soul along side his... you make a fantstic elder title." He rolled away from the vomit and sits with the flame to calm him down. Watching it dancing colours. He posed to almost ask about the fire and lowers in maybe no wanting to ask something pointless. Nothing about this beach is normal to the face value... so it was to reason this camp fire isn't fire. He mulls over her thoughts.

"Maybe there be a perfect opportunity to test your idea." he stares back to the ocean, "You seen what will be." She nods in knowing, "If we could work together, get omen's on board to accept my soul among his. We can steer this up coming events away from clothus ruling."

"It's what I dream for." Posing her right hand to him, "I will gift you to him, when given a time and place to make him consider it. It be no different to how the goddess of life surges between her many bodies." He smirked and shakes on that. They eased off the akward part again.

"He knows your part clothus and doesnt trust you." She nods to him, "He knows your hand in contorlling the beings of hidden veils and fears you taking his thunder." she nods softer in that too, "But you have other duties." strong nod at that, "It will work." looking up to the sky in relaxing, "His going to fear you even more."

"Well good. I am the clothus phobia. I am the nightmare that haunts those in reminder of what clothus do to laws. That's my stick." He snorts at that and then nodding at getting it.

"SO nightmares are real beings." She pulled out the volume of nightmare names. he looked a wide eyed then narrowing, "That's so small."

"A lot of nightmares are other things already. The god of thunder is the nightmare of those that fear it. Anais the African trickster god is the spider phobia. There about fourteen gods of darkness, each carry an aspect of darkness that haunts people's dreams. This is just a part of being the personification of forces. At least, that's what I have learned." She takes back the empty flask he drank from, "This book are just the nightmares without other attachments. The things that are, and no more then what is. Or are to complicated to be other things. The personification of strangers has enough being just that." She messed about maintaining her limbs again, having to remove the instable pieces. She broke off the excessive pieces of over growth. He sits up staring at her, blocked her from doing something that looked painful. He waved and helped pull things aligned. She worked her joints again smoothly, nodding thanks. He back to looking at the camp fire, memorized by the haze of light.

"The ember of the universe's core. You know it as the flame of creation. It's a lot of things, a material that defies meanings. This little splutter is why time has distorted and reverts often. But this peice cant be returned or moved. It just stays on this beach, always dying out." She tossed some fuel to it, "I use it and protect it. Its handy to fix things. It can rekindled the main flame a few times now." he sharp stares her. She nods to that feeling, "It scared me too. I thought it was pointless until I found this beach and this flame. I nearly gave up sewing the tomes back together, harvesting all that paper and the ink. Man, the ink." She claws the log in being mad about the ink the tome uses, "I cried over the last speck of warmth. Disappoint was my feelings in being useless. Being a failure. Being just some stupid mortal that didnt know anything. I still am." holding her arm and hand over the hole of the stomach, "I am just another rejected soul." scrunched into a little ball.

"No." He sounded so certian and she shakes in doubt, "You were willing to put aside your humanity to bring all this, back?" the pause to point at what she was protecting the most, "You're incredible. More motivated then any the other gods I know. So, your not something to be shunned and hated. You did what you had to. You followed your souls wish, that is all we can expect from souls." She wipes away tears and welcomed that embrace of freindship, "I know this much of the turth and although I am not all knowing. No one is. Not even gods. Yet..." petting her head, "Thank you for everything." The chains of so many things that tied her back sprayed this beach with metallic sands, dusting the black with silver hues. The corruption of negative rejection she held inside was now purified. The hole, that scar... gone. For a first time in having started repairing these tomes of this universe, she was feeling good about it. Someone, even if its one soul, spoke what she needed to hear. It was enough.

"Come on... we got to get things going." Pulled her up to her feet and is the one to pull them both to the sea ocean's depths. She walks back the pages back to the mortal realm. So much of her confidence in believing herself changed her. No longer was it hard to maintain a human shape. She felt deserving of life and death again. Once again that relationships sparked like gemstone treasures in spotlight. The way energy flows that wash around the many worlds, between the veils and curtains of existence was a beauty as her little campfire on a distant beach way. She can truly even treasure the magic mages, thus bringing her to no longer need to use runic casting in a barbaric weak matter. She finally took grasp of powers she feared using most, gearing herself into a more natural state then the broken cripple she had been.

Her hand held around the shadow of damned door way; cast of her own soul detailing and enhanced as she is part clothus.

In walking this shadow highway, she no longer felt torment by the cost in using it. Shadow doors are a way for souls to exchange energy from the negative into distance of stretching shadows to connect to other shadows. She couldn't use this door because her own guilt was to much to carry. Now that the god she made a promise with said what he did, she could finally face that burden at its cost. Transporting her soul off that castaway beach and back into the living realms that a living human should have belonged to. As to be expected, it brought her to the person she felt close to the most.

This british camping site was full of students learning practical skills. The groups being determined by elemental cast magic grouping. Omen's seated himself over the branch that the lone tent. Her door opening from within the large oak trees trunk, hissing joint that squeaked on closing behind her.

Omen's lowered at her and hissed like always. But then he stopped; to stunned or shocked really.

She adjusted her clothing, the uniform of patchwork kingdoms she once served as an undertaker. Her hat was a mirror model of his when he was her undertaker. Long brim that hides the face. She wears long diner cotton gloves to hide her marks. So many acessories that could turned into tools of her real trade. The shadow door peels off the bark of the tree, spitting into a glooping floating mass. It shakes off the over pour of ink; becoming a solid black paged cursed book. It hovered always at her side, at the ready to flicker open for soul check. Omen's slipped off that branch, landing back frist into the floor. His face staring about her.

"Just need to..." mat held up a tent part, he still pitching unlike everyone else getting on with other things, "thank you." She pulled the tent to the correct amount of tension. He finally striking the stakes in correctly. They worked together pulling the guide ropes too. He walked around to the front, and now she hung a lantern to his door. It's a very old antique lantern and its flame was unnatural. He peered confused of her. He couldn't recognize who she is. But her smile made him warm, burning at his cheeks in embarrassment.

"Raven!" He turned to face the teacher, "About time with that tent, but I thought you were waiting for help?"

"I had help from..." He looked back and she no visible to him. Rather when she picked omens off them floor, she switched through perception veils. Matching to the same realm as Omen's was in. It also makes her more clothus then human while being in this state. But she felt it important to get the god off the dirt floor. Putting the god to be under the lanterns warmth and cleansing. She pets him a little, in habit of petting her creatures when she moved them like this. He slaps away her hand once he nested in the tent door, glaring her down. Beak above her. She bowed lowering to respect this difference in places; she's a mortal in cursed shape and Omen's is a true titled god of his own willpowers. This area has last to be followed, like paying respect to gods like him.

"Get over here now." teachers blow whistle and students line up. She smirked and stands. She gives a soft wave to omens, chased after Raven. Appears among the children as the child she was before time distorted, "Time for registering." She clapped hands and her mask makes the sort of adjustments that undertakers do in these situations. In freeze time, there was a lot of beings around like angels, demons and undertakers. They were doing exactly the same things. Tormenting or helping the kids. The teacher that lost her phone. Even Jess and Josh was here, they will be sleeping in a caravan that's parked on tarmac. No Kyle... but there is his parents as kids here among the students. Slyly she added her name onto the student list at the bottom, once she as done messing about making sure it looked like she meant to be here. Pitched her own tent beside his. No boy girl mixed tents, it was written on note on the kids register. Once it was all sorted, time came back to flow.

"And lastly, miss Fallown." they been going through each name a while now.

"I am here." She voiced at the same tone like everyone else, raised her left hand and making Raven take four steps away from her. To him, she just sneaked up on him. He then noticed her tent beside his at the tree, the lantern on a post between them. He looked at how she wearing comfortable hiker gear, it was brand new and specked with enough mud to suggest she been here, "I was helping Raven."

"Good but no sharing tents." point pen by the leader of this camp trip.

"I finished putting my up first." posed thumb back to their place under the old oak tree, "I like the drainage." she shrugs, "Its to slopped over here."

"Sure..." the teacher huffed and putting away the register, "Right, obiouvsly you arent epxected to forge for your own food. You were told to bring something. But now is the time to be using camping stoves for cooking. No voodoo!" that the replaced word for magic casting. They are all wearing magic dampeners to discourage using magic for everything. This is easy for those not used to having magic and hard for those that relied on magic until now, "We are expecting you guys to be sleep when it gets dark. And packing up when light rises. We finish this trip with the last 5 Km." there a sound of rejoice among and some disappointed that the camping was ending. There some giggles and talk of playing pranks. Raven has been staring a lot, measuring her with that red beet blush still. He would shake off but return to staring. The teacher rolled eyes in seeing him, "No tom foollery!" the kids with pranks sighed at that meaning their be in trouble if caught. Raven posed open palms of getting the message that was meant to him. Is the first to leave before anyone seems to notice, well she did and snickered. She rolled eyes too. She an arm up and made a click sound. It wasn't long for a crow to land on her and mimic her click. She removed a meat bit from her pocket, and walks the same direction as Raven. The kids seeing her playing with a crow looked between them in being unsure if that counted as voodoo.

"Domestic birds were allowed. I know Raven asked about it." The teacher crossed arms, "I guess he asked for her." Jess and Josh were out the camper and joining the watching tent party. Adults with soft drinks talking about the kids progress this trip.
