Let's Crush The Party

Noah's room was enveloped in an icy atmosphere ever since Elijah arrived. Elijah sat on the sofa while Noah remained motionless in his seat.

"What do you want?" Noah's voice cut through the silence, laced with coldness.

"Grace..." Elijah's words trailed off as he received a text. Quickly checking it, he stood up. "I need to go. I'll come back later," he hurried toward the door, but Noah halted him.

"What's so important that you came rushing in and now want to leave in a hurry?" Noah's tone remained indifferent.

"I came because of my girl, and I'm leaving because of my girl," Elijah stated firmly, without a hint of hesitation.

"Your girl?" Noah's expression finally shifted, showing a flicker of interest.

"Why? I've already told you that I'm seeing someone. Why didn't you and Daniel believe me?" Disappointment tinged in Elijah's voice.

"Sarah?" Sarah's name suddenly blurted out from Noah's lips.

"Sarah? How do you know her?" Elijah turned, his curiosity piqued as Sarah's name was mentioned.

"Is she your girl?" Noah asked.

Hearing that question, Elijah frowned, "No," he paused as his eyes furrowed, "her best friend is my girl," he stepped back inside, "and the reason I came here is because of your future wife," He stopped right in front of Noah's table, seemingly ready to unleash all his anger.

"Who?" Noah rolled his eyes, feigning ignorance.

"Grace, your fiancée. Do you know what she did last night?" Elijah's tone now carried a clear hint of anger.

"What she did last night, today, or in the future has no relation to me," Noah replied, reverting back to his cold and indifferent demeanour. He focused his attention on the document, pretending as if he didn't want to hear anything further.

Elijah let out a scoff. "Since when did you turn into such a selfish bastard?" he retorted, unable to hide his frustration.

"I've always been like this," Noah replied coldly, showing no hint of guilt.

"She pushed Weyna and caused her miscarriage!" Elijah shouted in anger, unable to contain his emotions any longer.

Noah tightened his grip on the pen in his hand and frowned, his head still lowered. He didn't know how to respond to Elijah's words.

"I really didn't know what Grace wanted by coming to Sarah's house yesterday, but she really crossed the line. And you," Elijah paused, pointing his finger towards Noah, "if you can't handle your woman, I'll handle her myself," he said, turning around.

The loud sound of the door being slammed made Noah lift his head. "She went to Sarah?" he mumbled to himself.

Sighing, he stood up and looked out at the scenery from his office. There were a lot of things he needed to prioritise first, and even his revenge had to take a halt as his father started digging into everything he was doing. But to be honest, he even forgot his main reason to get revenge as he spent his time with Sarah. What was the best thing for him to do at the moment?

"Tadaa," Weyna appeared in front of Sarah's house, holding a red dress in her hand.

Surprised, Sarah's eyes widened, and her mouth slightly opened. "What is this? Why are you here? Are you okay now?" She blurted out a series of questions, concerned about her friend who had just experienced a miscarriage.

Weyna took a step back and glanced at her side. "He drove me here," she explained.

"He?" Sarah peered outside and spotted Elijah standing near the wall. "Ah, sorry, come in," she quickly invited them inside, feeling awkward talking outside with Elijah present.

"Why did you come? You're still not well," Sarah whispered to Weyna as they headed inside.

Weyna immediately pouted in response to the nagging. "How can I leave my best friend going to war without any preparation?" she smirked.

Sarah glanced awkwardly at Elijah, who was following them from behind as Weyna's voice was quite loud. "Have a seat first. I'll make a drink for both of you," she said, excusing herself to the kitchen.

"What war?" Elijah asked as soon as he sat down.

"Oh, it's a secret," Weyna replied, narrowing her eyes and scrunching her nose.

"Ish, so cute," Elijah mumbled as he looked around the house. "Oh, your friend," he turned back to Weyna, "does she happen to know anyone named Noah?" Elijah's sudden question caught Weyna off guard, leaving her shocked.

"What's with him?" Weyna replied with a question.

Elijah was silent for a few seconds before he shook his head, "Never mind," he said as he thought that it was not possible for them to know each other.

Sarah returned to the living room, carrying a tray with cups of tea. "Have a drink," she paused, placing the cups on the table one by one, "since you came unexpectedly, I didn't prepare anything special," she said, glancing at Weyna.

"No worries, I'm not someone you just met yesterday," Weyna replied, taking a sip from the cup. Suddenly, she winced, exclaiming, "Ouch, ouch!" The drink was too hot.

"Are you okay?" Elijah quickly asked, reaching for the cup in Weyna's hand.

Sarah shook her head, saying, "It's hot."

Weyna argued, "You told me to drink it without warning me it was too hot!"

"You should know that tea is usually served hot," Sarah sighed, acknowledging Weyna's complaint.

"Ah, never mind. What are your plans for getting there tonight?" Weyna asked, curious about Sarah's arrangements for the party.

"Hmm, I haven't thought about it yet. Maybe I'll just take a taxi," Sarah replied, still uncertain.

"In that case, can't Elijah give you a ride?" Weyna looked at Elijah, who appeared surprised by the suggestion.

Elijah placed a hand over his chest, feigning shock. "Where to?" he asked, genuinely unaware of the details. Weyna had only told him to bring a red dress of a specific size and bring her here.

"Oh, she has a party tonight at the Attana Resort. Can you please help her out?" Weyna pleaded, using her cuteness to convince Elijah.

Sarah felt a pang of awkwardness. It would be okay if Weyna tagged along, but she would be attending the party alone, and she was certain the entire ride would be painfully silent.

Elijah looked at Weyna in silence, contemplating her suggestion. After a few seconds, he came up with an idea. "How about you stay there for a day and I'll book a room for you at the resort? That way, you can rest and enjoy yourself while Sarah attends the party."

Sarah and Weyna looked at each other before Weyna slowly formed a smile as she turned to Elijah, "But…mom?"

"I will ask for your parents permission," Elijah quickly replied.

"Deal!" Weyna jumped from her seat.

"Be careful," Sarah reminded her, while Elijah was ready by her side, in case something happen.

Weyna's smile widened and looked at Sarah, "Let's crush the party tonight!"
