WAKE YOUR DREAMS

And she was left alone.

Kiyoko decided to stay at Tamaka's place until she graduates. Zehan returned back to Tokyo after two days.

Tamako was overjoyed when Kiyoko agreed to her offer.

Tamako lived with her sister. She gladly made room for Kiyoko to stay.

Coincidently, Tamaka's sister was one of her classmate, Tamiro Fu.

She showed some displeasure when Kiyoko first came over to stay which made Kiyoko think about finding some lodge to stay over.

But Tamako was very against it.

With time, Tamiro and Kiyoko became friends.

Especially after Tamiro found out that she writes novels. And yet another strange coincident Tamiro's favorite novel was Kiyoko's very first web novel.

............................................................….

"What are you guys gossiping about?" Tamako peeked inside the room.

"Nothing…Nothing at all…!" Tamiro and Kiyoko said in unison.

"Are you two sure?"

"Yes…"

"Yes!"

Both of them nodded.

When Tamaka had left, the two girls continued discussing. Tamiro let out a squeal.

'Discussing about erotic stuff…!' Tamako shook her head. She was standing outside leaning against the door. 'They are juniors than me yet they don't feel a bit shame in talking about…'

Kiyoko got a friend after a long time.

She used to have a best friend back when she was in primary school.

They used to go to each other's house to play; they used to sit together in the class.

"Don't your parents stay at home much? You are always alone at home."

"They must love your brother very much."

"You don't have any interesting toys. I saw your brother's room that day. He has tones of toys. Let's go play in his room."

Even if those words of her best friend bothered her, Kiyoko was afraid that if she says anything her best friend would cut ties with her. She did not want to be alone.

Until one day when she was returning back to the class after the PE class she heard her best friend talking with her other friends.

"Ugh! Don't even say like that! I have already decided to ignore her from now on." Her best friend said.

"You have decided well. I didn't like a bit when you said that you are Kiyoko's best friend." One of the girls said.

"Yeah I should not have done that. She is too boring, she reads all day and talks rubbish. Her parents also do not stay much at home and they are always busy with her brother."

"Is she like Meg Griffon from the Family Guy?"

The girls laughed aloud.

Kiyoko walked towards them. She had tears which rolled down her cheeks.

It must be her fault because she raised her voice? Right…?

Her 'best friend' complained to the homeroom teacher and the teacher arranged for a meeting. All of her classmates openly criticized her from then on.

Her best friend's mother snarled at her.

Her mother came but was late. Her mother repeatedly bowed and apologized to the teacher and her best friend's mother. She even bought a chocolate box for her best friend.

But her mother never tried to ask her what actually happened. Even if she tried to tell her, her mother would glare at her and she could only swallow back her words.

'Even if she told what would have changed.'

'Nothing…'

"Because of you I had to miss the parent-teacher meeting at Kazuke's school. I should quickly go over there. Don't cause me trouble again I won't come over the next time."

Her mother drove away.

'It's true that she loves brother more than me.'

'Did she even love her even a little bit?'

From that point on she ignored her younger brother.

One evening when she returned back home from her school, she saw her parents were praising her brother.

"Ane-chan I won the quiz competition." Her brother smiled and said.

Kiyoko smiled and she walked upstairs to her room.

Once in her room she opened the study table drawer. She pulled out some certificates that she had won in interschool championships.

'Why was their reaction different in case of him?'

By the time she was in junior high. Her parents shifted to another place because it was closer for her brother to attend his school from there.

And she was left alone.

It was raining that one day.

Kiyoko was returning from the library. She was carrying an umbrella in one hand and some books on the other.

'I should have brought a bag with me.'

She was afraid that those books would become wet. The books were from the library so she has to return it.

She opened the front gate.

When she stepped inside the house, she was surprised to see Hinata Yamamoto kneeling down and wearing his shoes.

"Oh Kiyoko you are back!" Tamako greeted her. "This boy is Hinata Yamamoto, my ex-classmate and he lives opposite to our house."

'Did he not say that he lived near my neighborhood?' Kiyoko thought.

Hinata sensing her question said," I just shifted here recently. Ha Ha~"

"But you…" Hinata was about to tell something when Hinata glared at her and gulped back the words.

"Tamako, I gotta go!" Hinata said and stormed out of the house.

"Oe, take this umbrella!" Hinata shouted but Hinata was long gone.

Hinata Yamamoto had always stayed in this neighborhood since he was a child.
