CHAPTER 49: SPIRIT OF THE HUMAYUN CRYSTAL
Inside the room stood thousands of different Humayun crystals
But one stood out among them
It was bigger and shone more brightly
Jia stared at the crystal for a long time
Her feet seemed to develop a mind of their own as they moved slowly toward the crystal
"Girl! What are you doing?" Damon asked
"Go away," Jia said hazily
The faint outline of a cackle was seen on the gigantic crystal's body
Damon attacked the crystal and smashed a part of it
Jia seemed to regain her senses
"What happened," Jia asked perplexed
Damon continued to stare at the crystal
His eyes seemed to glow a bright green
He slowly started to walk toward the crystal
Jia noticed this and pushed him away violently
"Why did you hit me," Damon asked
"That crystal tried to mind control you" Jia answered coldly
Jia shot several bullets at the crystal but the bullets didn't work
Anytime Jia shot bullets, The crystal rock would soften thereby bouncing off the bullets
Jia picked up her trident and stabbed it into the crystal
It solidified and broke the trident
Jia used the seal of the phoenix but it didn't make much difference
A tricky idea came to Jia's mind
She walked up to the crystal and touched it using the power of the soul skill
Jia frowned
"What is wrong," Damon asked carefully
"It doesn't have a soul" Jia answered
Her eyes lit up
"Elizabeth, I need your divine weapon," Jia asked suddenly remembering something
"Oh yeah. Take it anyway, I don't know how to use weapons" Elizabeth said handing Jia the divine weapon
It was a scythe with a ram skull on it
The blade was super sharp giving it a grim reaper look
"Let me help you," Elizabeth said with a grin
She created a magic formation that directly suppressed the crystal
"Who. are. You" The crystal croaked out
"Who we are is none of your business. We want the Humayun crystal and that's you!" Elizabeth said fiercely
Jia wanted to infuse it with mana but it seemed like a bottomless tank
It kept on sucking Jia's mana reserves even as the crystal horn absorbed more
The crystal horn snapped and broke into pieces unveiling a bigger one
Jia decided to stop charging up the divine weapon
The eyes on the ram skull glowed with an eerie blue light
"Don't. Please. I. will .give. myself .to. you" The crystal croaked out
"There's nothing we can do. You're only useful when dead" Elizabeth said with an evil smile
"You have influenced someone with your evilness," Damon said dramatically
"Of course. That's one of my areas of effect" Jia replied with a wink
Jia slammed the blade of the scythe into the crystal
The crystal cracked and shattered into pieces leaving a pitch-black gem
All the other crystals vanished
Its astral body tried to escape but Jia sliced it in half using the scythe
Jia looked at the gem with hidden reluctance in her eyes
She turned to face Elizabeth
"This is yours," Jia said handing Elizabeth the gem
"I I" Elizabeth tried to say
"Eli, it's yours," Jia said solemnly
"You're kind of nice behind that evil mask" Damon whispered
"I'm not nice," Jia replied calmly
Damon shrugged
"Suit yourself" Damon replied
Jia went out of the door and went to see the Crystal king
"The crystal has accepted me. I wish to take my leave" Jia said with a look of indifference
"Freyja! Escort our guests out of here" The crystal king said in excitement
"Thank you so much miss. This kingdom will forever remember you" The crystal king said solemnly
Freyja arrived and took them through a portal
They soon appeared in a familiar environment ;The Kunlun Mountains
"Now that we're back here, What next?" Elizabeth asked like a child throwing a fit
"We wait for Sia to open the portal" Jia replied nonchalantly
"Why are you discarding your subordinates," Damon asked
"I don't need them anymore and I can't waste my time and energy to make them stronger.I mean, most of them are weaker than me" Jia said in exasperation
"You're pure evil" Damon commented with a grin
Jia ignored him
He pulled her into a hug
"What's this supposed to mean," Jia asked
His body exuded warmth and Jia hugged him back
Elizabeth stared at the two of them with a hint of disgust in her eyes
She covered her eyes and faced the other side
Damon stared at her eyes and her lips continuously
His warm lips crashed into hers
the kiss became heated
Jia felt a change in the spatial orientation
and she broke the kiss
"Sia is about to open the portal" Jia muttered
Damon nodded in understanding and stared at the skies in expectation
As Jia predicted, the portal soon opened with a large gust of wind
