Rriel's Point of view

"Dad, maybe the necklace means mom is alive."

"I don't think so, son." He tells me.

"Then how did the necklace get here?" I cross my arms.

"The humans are mocking us, letting us remember they took her from us," he says.

"Dad," I yell.

" What?" He says through his teeth.

"I don't buy that." I have a feeling he's hiding things from me.

"I guess it's time for me to tell you the truth. You're not a little boy anymore. Your mom left me to be with her real heartbeat. That's the reason I hate humans," my dad says.

He looks upset. I have never seen him like this before. I pat his leg.

"I am not happy you lied to me, but I understand why you did."

"So you leave it alone?" He asks, eyeing me widely.

"Not a chance," I smirk.
