Koneko Toujou, the petite nekomata girl from the infamous Occult Research Club of Kuoh Academy, was on her way back to her dorm room after a long day of classes. As she walked through the empty hallways, she heard a faint whimpering sound coming from a nearby storage room. Curious, Koneko cautiously opened the door and was surprised to find a young boy curled up in the corner, crying.

"Hey, are you okay?" Koneko asked gently, approaching the boy. He looked up at her with teary eyes and shook his head. "What's wrong? Did something happen?" she asked, kneeling down to his level.

The boy, who introduced himself as Johnny, told Koneko that he had run away from home because his parents were always fighting and he didn't feel safe there. Koneko listened sympathetically and realized that she couldn't just leave the boy alone. Without hesitation, she offered to take him in and give him a safe place to stay.

At first, Johnny was hesitant to trust Koneko, but as she spent more time with him, he began to open up and feel more comfortable around her. Koneko was patient and understanding, never pushing him to share more than he was comfortable with. She made sure he had everything he needed, from food and clothing to a warm bed to sleep in.

Over time, Koneko and Johnny formed a strong bond, and she became like a big sister to him. She helped him with his homework, taught him how to cook, and even introduced him to her friends in the Occult Research Club. Johnny had never felt so happy and loved before, and he was grateful to Koneko for giving him a second chance at a happy childhood.

As the years went by, Johnny grew up under Koneko's care, and he became a confident and capable young man. Koneko was proud of all that he had accomplished, and she knew that she had made the right choice in taking him in. Together, they faced many challenges and obstacles, but through it all, they remained a family.
