Cael met Arca fist to fist. The strength of the blow reverberated through Cael's hand, but he was already throwing another punch.
Arca matched Cael's eagerness with his own palpable anger. The intense combat left little room for spells, and both opponents wanted to vent their emotions first.
The priest's combat technique was just as unrefined as Cael's, but where Cael preferred punches, Arca went for leg swipes and grabs at every opportunity. He really was stronger than the last time Cael saw him—at the very least, he would've lost much more slowly in the previous duel if he used his armor spell back then.
His combat technique of today didn't work out well for Arca, though. His attacks were too slow, and Cael took the initiative, hitting Arca's arms over and over until the priest slipped in his defense. Then the next Cael's punch connected right with his breastplate with a dull bang.
"Curses!" Arca growled.
