Submerged in white

"Death will be a mercy for you, weaklings!" Ginevra declared, pointing her open palms at Capelli.

A beam of ice, arm-wide, poured out—not a single projectile, but an entire torrent of snowflake-sized ice shards. They were so numerous and so fast that all that one could see from afar was a beam of white, glittering in the light.

Like an entire blizzard concentrated in a single beam, moving with enough force to not just freeze people, but cut them into pieces.

It slammed into Capelli's shield, ice shards dealing a thousand tiny blows every hundredth of a second. The beam didn't just break the shield—it cut through it like through butter, leaving the rest not shattered, but merely flickering.

But this wasn't all. Ginevra grit her teeth, keeping her mana going into the spell as it flew further.

Capelli's eyes, barely visible through his long bangs, widened.
