Hospital

Upon arriving in town, Ethan was quickly rushed to the hospital for better treatment of his injured leg, which was caught in a trap during the escape from Lucas's men in the forest. Max and Marvel waited anxiously until Ethan was admitted to the same hospital where Thomas had brought his wife and son previously. This hospital was built by Mr. MaQueen in memory of Gandalf's late wife.

Both Marvel and Max needed medical attention too and were stitched up from the little cuts they sustained during their escape. As they rested in their hospital beds, a doctor approached them, casually asking, "Where have you been for the past few days?"

Max, on the opposite bed from Marvel, gestured with his eyes for her not to reveal any information to the doctor. Despite knowing that the doctor was a family friend, Max's recent experiences had made him wary of trusting anyone. He couldn't be sure if their escape was noticed, or if anyone was looking for them back at the castle.
