Confusion (2)

Kei has always taken the same route to the café when she and Rika decide to meet up before class, and today is no exception. However, she can’t help but feel that today is different.

“Kei?” As though to validate her feeling, an unknown, yet familiar voice calls out to her.

Kei stops her stride and turns to face the stranger, her face showing mild confusion. “Yes?”

“Oh, my word, it is you!” A tall young man approaches Kei, his deep orange hair tousled wildly around his head. “I saw you from a distance and I couldn’t shake the feeling I knew you from somewhere.” His sharp green eyes maintain a direct gaze with her own as he speaks. “I never imagined I’d find you in a place like this Kei. How have you been?!” He asks excitedly.
