Elliot watches as Kei suddenly holds her head, a look of grief on her face. He sees her clutch her body reflexively and her eyes are distant, as though she’s having a vision of events long passed. He carefully approaches her and gently places his hand on her shoulder, bringing her back again.
“Elliot?” She stares at him, wondering why he looks so empathetic towards her. “What is it?”
“You looked like you were recalling something rather unpleasant, so I thought I’d offer support.”
“Oh, I see. Thank you.” He removes his hand and sits down again, this time in a chair closer to her. It’s silent for a moment, until finally she lets out a deep sigh and says, “I remember it now.”
“Right, and what is it that you’ve remembered exactly?” He asks to confirm his suspicions.
