Chapter Thirty-Nine

"you're back early from your little love nest." Dinah said when Alexander reached

the porch where she sat down reading a book.

"She's training with Edward. He's teaching her to focus, meditation and all that

witchy-woo stuff. I'll only be a distraction."

Dinah shrugged, "or maybe you could have joined them in all the meditation

business." he shook his head,

"I'd rather run with the wolves." he said, and took a seat in the second chair

present. Dinah just smiled.

"did you know they brewed potions?" he asked after some moments passed,

"well, Aye, I suppose. My witch friend back at home did a lot of mixing. Some smelled

nice, others made me run out of the room. Why?"

"I only just realized because Laylah made a joke. She's a healer." Dinah

closed her book and took a closer look at her cousin. He was staring off into

the far distant,

"healer's are always respected. Wanted.. Needed. What bothers you, cousin?" Dinah

asked, when he said nothing else,
