Chapter 28 - From Bad to Just as Bad

When Lan emerged from his tent, he made one detour before meeting with Wroth. It was a necessary one to prevent his bladder from exploding and he knew that Wroth was already irritated so he might as well delay a couple of minutes. Lan debated trying to squeeze a quick shave in and was rubbing his stubble as he quickly approached the Captain Wroth’s tent.

Wroth rolled his eyes at the gesture. He thought that shaving was necessary for hygiene, but obnoxious because it took up time better spent doing other things. He didn’t understand the obsession some men had with keeping themselves clean-shaven. Making the effort to do it every day seemed like a waste of time. And a possible sign of vanity.

But that was just his opinion.

Titles were a little funny with Wroth. His rank was Captain. But the position he held was as the commander of this excursion. He was not a Commander by rank in the Imperial Army.
