Lan Su couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something strange about Sui Jiang. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he couldn't ignore the nagging feeling at the back of his mind.
As they walked through the forest, Lan Su kept his guard up, observing Sui Jiang's every move. Sui Jiang, on the other hand, seemed completely at ease, as if he didn't have a care in the world.
As they walked, Sui Jiang suddenly stopped and turned to face Lan Su. "You seem tense, Lan Su. Is something bothering you?" he asked with a smile.
Lan Su was taken aback by Sui Jiang's sudden change in demeanor. "Uh, no, everything's fine," he stammered.
Sui Jiang chuckled. "You're a terrible liar, Lan Su. But don't worry, I won't pry. We all have our secrets," he said cryptically.
Lan Su felt a chill run down his spine. He couldn't shake off the feeling that Sui Jiang knew something he didn't. But what could it be?
Suddenly, they heard a loud commotion up ahead. They quickened their pace and soon arrived at a clearing where they saw a group of bandits attacking a small village.
Without hesitation, Lan Su and Sui Jiang sprang into action. Lan Su quickly assessed the situation and began constructing a makeshift barricade using fallen trees and rocks to protect the villagers. Meanwhile, Sui Jiang charged straight into the fray, taking on the bandits with his martial arts skills.
Lan Su was impressed by Sui Jiang's fighting prowess. He moved with incredible speed and grace, dispatching bandits with ease. But as Lan Su watched Sui Jiang, he noticed something strange. Sui Jiang's movements seemed almost mechanical, as if he was executing a pre-programmed set of actions.
Suddenly, one of the bandits managed to get past the barricade and lunged at Lan Su with a dagger. Lan Su reacted quickly, dodging the attack and counterattacking with a swift punch to the bandit's face.
But as he struck the bandit, Lan Su felt a jolt of electricity run through his body. He stumbled back in shock, realizing that the bandit's dagger was electrified.
Lan Su turned to Sui Jiang, who had just finished off the last of the bandits. "Sui Jiang, your movements...they're almost like a machine. And that dagger...how did you know it was electrified?" he asked.
Sui Jiang's smile faded, and for the first time, Lan Su saw a hint of emotion in his eyes. "There are some things in this world that are better left unknown, Lan Su," he said cryptically before walking away.
Lan Su was left with more questions than answers. Who was Sui Jiang, and what was his connection to the bandits? And most importantly, why did he seem so familiar?
