"So?" The welcome directed at me the moment I got into their line of sight was a plain question.
"So what?" I sit on the padded floor, placing my elbows on my crossed legs, resting my chin on my palm, and lazily eyeing Jun who threw the question.
"How was your date with your crush?" He tilts his head to the side to eye me while lifting the 50kg weight above his chest, leading me to scoff out a reply.
"Words spread fast, don't they now"
"Correction though, it wasn't a date, and I don't have a crush on Hunter."
"You said you found him attractive," Taeyang argues, smoothly cutting into the conversation as he steps off the speeding treadmill.
" I find a lot of people attractive, but that doesn't mean I have a silly crush on every one of them," I drag out, blinking tiredly.
"It does when you say it," Taeyang adds, passing an unsealed bottle of water to Niki.
"Niki?" I sigh, calling to the unsuspecting young male who turned around while taking a satisfying huge gulp of water that never made it down his throat.
"I find you really attractive," a mischievous smile stretched across my lips as the words left it, stirring up a fountain of reactions with the unswallowed water spraying forcefully at it's target, my face.
With his shocked reaction already predicted, I easily moved out of the line of fire, watching as the saliva coated liquid aimed at me claimed another victim, Gunn's face.
"Does that mean I have a crush on you?" My smile widens with my eyelashes batting innocently at the traumatised younger trainee.
"Aeri!! Please leave me out of this, " Niki splutters, managing to safely place the bottle beside the dumbbells as Choi Soobin softly patted his sweaty back
"Ignore her, Niki." he glares.
"Yes, ignore me, just joking," I laugh out, untangling my legs and turning to the other with a shrug.
"See, case settled,"
"So about that food?" Jun hesitates.
"How did you hear about that now?" I groan, glaring at his arms, struggling to hold up a weight.
"I've got eyes and ears everywhere," he strains a reply, still managing to maintain a smug look through his physical struggle.
"ChanHo said something about you having a whole meal while he coached us this morning." TaeYang cuts off, assisting Jun with holding up the weight threatening to press against his chest.
"Did he also tell you about how he made me run a long way for nothing?" I shiver, thinking back to the morning.
"Nope," Taeyang draws out, lifting the weight off Jun's straining arms and hanging it on its hold while Jun slid out of the restraining space.
"I woke up this morning to find a packed breakfast on my desk. It tasted really good." I was rudely interrupted by an ear piercing screech from Gunn as he dropped the dumbbells to the floor with a clang.
"You ate it?!!!" He looked terrified.
"No, I threw it away" I reply sarcastically "Of course I ate it, I couldn't let good food go to waste when the food they give us here is crappy, only the top agents and superiors get good food".
"You get special food at times too, Mr. Kang spoils you since you're his personal recruit. He regards you like he will his daughter, which means you get special treatment, so don't speak like you're being starved, " Soobin cuts in, carefully selecting a blade and sparring with the mechanical dummy.
"Keyword 'at times' , and at first thought I suspected it was sent by my aunt or cousins, but I crossed them out since outsiders cannot locate here," I shout above the mechanical whirs in the dimly lighted training room.
"It's definitely someone from the agency. The question is who," Jun adds, draping a towel around his neck and passing another to Taeyang.
"You shouldn't eat something you're not sure of, Senior," Niki mutters under his breath but loud enough for us to pick up on.
"I still don't get why you call me that when I'm only a few months older than you," I lay back on the cold floor pads, raising both arms to hang in the air. "and I'm not dead yet, so you can clear out that thought of it being poisoned,"
"What if it's a slow poison that would drain the life out of you till it's too late" I immediately sit up to join the others in giving Gunn a judging stare for his ridiculous comment.
"You need to cut it low on the movies, Gunn," I sigh, laying back.
"Or, you could have a secret admirer who knows the only way to your heart is food" Taeyang suggests, looking around for looks of approval when annoyance boiled in me, causing me to stretch my booted leg, kicking him hard on the shin.
He winces, hopping on one foot while trying to massage the other, losing his balance and stumbling into someone.
"Watch it idiots," Chae Soobin hisses, muttering and walking past us.
"I hate her, and still can't get my head around the reason why we have almost identical names with just two letters differentiating us," Choi Soobin groans, ruffling his brown locks while massaging his nape.
"She looks scary," Niki whispers, his dark, doe eyes stuck to her retreating figure, a soft hiccup bobbing his head as he immediately reached for the bottle of water beside him.
"Yeah, like one of those evil drama characters." Gunn was quick to add, curiosity gleaming in his eyes.
"I guess we have our first mission then," Taeyang nods, settling beside me as he wiped his sweaty neck with the towel.
"Catch the evil villainess?" Gunn quizzes, squatting behind us as the others begin to pile in, forming a circle with me at the center of it.
"No, figure out who left the food for Aeri," Taeyang frowns, nodding in my direction.
"And who stole my favorite hoodie?" I add, stretching my arms as Jun leans closer to me.
"Your what now?"
"Hoodie, it got missing this morning." I push him back.
A bang on the door startles everyone as Felix Lee stomps into the training room like a raging bull, a blonde, freckled raging bull.
"Oh shit! He is pissed off. "
