Liam's POV:
"But mom, you said you were making a turkey for dinner…" I complained, disappointed that I didn't find what I was hoping for.
"I found myself feeling really tired, and when I got up, I found the main ingredient missing," my mom replied with a tired look on her face.
"What's the missing ingredient? I'll go get it myself," I offered.
"It's the turkey itself, Liam. You know what? I think I'll take a nap," my mom said, her voice trailing off.
"I'll go get it. Are there any other missing ingredients?" I asked.
"Don't bother, Liam. Most of the markets are closed, and the ones that are still open will be closing soon," my father interjected from the couch.
"What am I going to do then? I was really looking forward to it. If I had known this was going to happen, I would have accepted Gustang's invitation," I said, feeling upset that my parents didn't seem to care about my disappointment.
