Ghost in the corridor - part three

Rain continued to pelt down, making the castle appear even gloomier due to the palpable tension in the air. Sebastian seemed restless as he yanked open the door to her room, which hit the wall with a loud crash. One glance told him that Eve was not in this room either. Where could she be?

Most of the servants, who were searching the palace, were too afraid to tell him that they hadn't found Eve. Ester was particularly worried as she ran down to the castle library.

Sebastian didn't want to entertain the possibility of Eve running away. Lately, she had been more open about her feelings towards him. That couldn't mean that this was all just a scheme to win his trust and enable her to escape. However, it was her screams that had woken him. They didn't seem like the cries of someone escaping, but rather of someone being kidnapped.

Frustrated, he ran his hand through his hair. On his way downstairs, he encountered Leif, who shook his head.
