A walk in the town- part one

By dawn the next day, Eve woke up to the bright sunlight that illuminated the room from the open window. A small bird rested on the window pane, chirping continuously. Sebastian was still asleep, lying beside her with his hands tucked under his head, his black hair scattered on his face and covering his eyes.

She got up from the bed, making sure she didn't wake him up. Her nightdress, which she had picked to wear last night, was still on the trunk, and she wore it before going to the window. The bird flew away as soon as Eve neared it, and she opened the windows wide and peered outside. There were so many people already out of their homes, and children running all over the streets. She hadn't seen any of them when they arrived yesterday. Their laughter and chattering filled the air, and she unknowingly smiled seeing them play around. It hadn't been long since she had seen so many humans, and it felt as if she was back home, in Vrussia.
