"No, no she's not his. It true that while I was pregnant, I was too broken to fight anymore, that I had fallen to the point where I just wanted to give him what he wanted so I could finally die. So he could slit my throat and I would finally find peace, but there was still a part of me that wanted to fight and one night I gained a reason."
"Let me go! Let me go!" The sound of screams startled Krillian awake as they echoed and bounced around the cold dungeon walls. He scrambles to his feet at the sound of his voice and the only thing he could think was that it couldn't be her that couldn't be her voice. And then he saw her, her skin was bruised and bloody, she was beaten far worse than he had been. Her hands were bound by chains and she was being dragged by them along the stone floor.
"Cat?" His voice came out horse and broken but Catalina was still able to hear him as she was dragged past his cell.
"Krill?!" She looked shocked to see him. "Krillian!" She screamed out his name as tears came down her face. The sound of her pain broke his heart even further.
"At first I thought he just wanted to a child from me because he wanted Hecate's blessing to flow through his lineage but when I saw Catalina Tes being dragged away I knew what he really wanted. That he wanted a child born from Silva and another born of Tes so that he would be able to control the fate of werewolves and treat them as he saw fit. And I knew that once she was healed he'd do the same thing to her that he had done to me. I couldn't let that happen. I got so angry, I was blinded by it. It ate at me for days that he was going to do something so horrible to another person, to the girl I was in love with just for some stupid rock. And then he stepped in my cell ready to check on his unborn child, my child, and before I knew what I was doing I had grabbed him by his head." My tear came down hysterically and my words poured out around my sobs.
"I cursed him with every fiber of my being with a power I didn't even know I had. I cursed.."
"I curse you, to never harm another in the way you have done to me!"
"To never fill the pleasures of the flesh again! And if he ever tried to harm another as he had done to me..."
"And if you ever harm another in the way you have inflicted upon me, may you feel the pain of every victim who has ever suffered your wrath. I curse you until the end of your days."
"I cursed him with everything I had! But I didn't know where that rush of power came from, I didn't know the price I had paid until it was done until he laid crumbled in front of me until I felt the bump of my stomach flatten and a hollow feeling ate at my soul!" Krillian sobs came stronger as he grew more hysterical it was as if he was reliving the events all over again. Even the wolf who had spoken out against him felt as if his story had ripped out their hearts. To lose a child in such a way would have killed them on the inside and to watch even a witch in this much pain and suffering made them want to put him out of his misery. Before anyone had even noticed what had happened Malik had picked Krillian up in his arm and held him as he began to walk towards the door.
"Malik.."
"He doesn't need to be seen like this, he far too strong to show weakness in front of the likes of them." The boy didn't even turn around to address the Alpha but everyone knew who his words were addressing when he said them.
"Yes, we can make the vote on letting him be apart of the council while he settles down." Malik only nodded in response as he felt someone walk up behind him and press a code into the door.
"My vote is yes." It was Chris. "I'm going to show him to Krillian's new room." The two wolves walked out just as the doors were opened up by the guards.
---------------------------
Krillian laid fast asleep with his daughter in his arms. To the eyes of the two wolves sitting in his room, he looked like a god glowing in radiants as he slept. I silence had felt over the room as the two just watched him sleep in peace.
"Are you still in love with him?" Chris didn't know why he asked the question or where it had even come from. It was as if he opened his mouth and instead of him speaking it was his wolf but it was too late to take it back.
"Honestly, even without my memories, when I'm around these two." Malik placed his hands in Mel's curly hair softly playing with it. "I get this feeling of warmth in my chest like no other and I think I'll always get it. I think I'll always love them both memories or no memories." He laid a kiss on Mel's head when she began to stir in her sleep, the moment his lips touched her forehead she calmed down and snuggle into her father. "Although that's not what your asking are you, you're asking me if I'm in love with Krillian because you're his mate aren't you." Chris was stunned into silence as he and Malik stared at each other.
"I don't know, without my memories I don't know if I'm still in love with him. But I can tell you this deep down in my gut when I think about him being vulnerable or hurt by any of you in any way." Malik clenched his fist and his eyes glowed a burning gold.
"My Wolf fills my body with the urge to protect him, so let's make this clear. I don't give a damn if your one of those rare Crimson wolves or not I'll kill you if you ever hurt him." Chris's eyes glowed red at Malik's word as he slipped past the future Alpha and walked out the room leaving him alone with Krillian and the baby. Chris sat down in the chair that Malik was sitting at not too long ago and put his face in his hands. He didn't even know where that had come from and now his secret was out in the air.
"So... are you going to tell me why he threatened your life?" Chris froze as his face turn red and he looked to the Witch who was supposed to be asleep but both he and his daughter was staring right at him with annoyance on their faces. "I've been around enough wolves to know a dick measuring contest when I see one, but I also know Malik."
"So you heard all that?" Chris's heart began to beat fast at the thought of Krillian hearing that he was his mate. Krillian layer on his back as Mel crawled onto his chest and laid down. Before she closed her eyes the little girl glared at Chris. The two of them chuckled at her actions.
"I only woke up when I felt his blood lust spike, then I heard him threaten you and leave. See as the fact that you didn't say anything back you must have been in the wrong. Care to tell me what happened?"
"It's nothing to worry about he just warned me that if this pack does anything to you or your daughter he'll kill me." Chris shrugged his shoulders at what he had to say.
"He's always been overprotective especially over her." Kie pointed to his baby as he rubbed his hand through her hair. "But who can blame him it's my fault that he's so close to her, probably closer to her than I am."
"Why would you say that?"
"Well when I first got to mountain peak I was afraid to even be near her, I had just lost her mother and I was afraid that if I touched her that I would lose her too. That she suffers the same fate as her brother. So I wouldn't allow myself to even be alone with her or go near her until I was able to deal with my grief. It was Malik who took care of her while I couldn't."
"You said you lost her mom? Who was she?" A smile came to Krillian's face.
"She was the love of my life, Catalina Tes, I ended up getting her pregnant while we were captured. They put her in the same cell as I was to pull me out of my grief and to convince me to try and survive while they came up with another plan."
"So... she pulled you out of your grief with sex, pussy must have been magical." Chris ducked just in time for the pillow to miss his face.
"No, you pervert we only had sex because the Calling was too strong to fight." Chris looked confused for a second before Krillian facepalmed.
"Does your community teach you anything about witches? The calling was a spell placed on witches by the god of balancing themselves."
"You mean the first god the spirit of Chaos and Order, the one who gave birth to the 5 creators? I thought that they don't get involved."
"Typically they don't unless the world is being thrown out of balance. When the war between witches and wolves first started we were very much outnumbered. We witches focused more on our magic than we did on reproducing. So the gods saw fit to place the calling on us. So once a year for all witch who has yet to have a child but their bodies can the calling activates. As long as your not with someone who you have a close connection to the pull won't be very strong. But when your around someone who you wouldn't have a problem having a child with then you might as well kiss the thought of not being a parent goodbye."
"It forces you to have sex?"
"I wouldn't say it forces you to do anything, it works with your subconscious, and the moment it seems that your mentality ready to be a parent and that you have someone who wouldn't mind having a child with you and you wouldn't be upset to have a child with them then it persuade you to do so. It usually leads to the blossom of beautiful relationships and powerful alliances between two or more families. In most cases, it starts a lot of polyamorist relationships." Chris frowned at that.
"What's that look for, please don't tell me your one of those wolves."
"What that suppose to mean?"
"One of those wolves who believe that love is only between 2 mates and no one else."
"Well if you have your mate then why do you need anyone else."
"Well, in a way that's true, though we witches are different, we fall in love before we become mates with someone; you wolves do the opposite. So it is possible for us to find more than one mate at the same time."
"So is that the reason for all the rumors that witches are sexual deviance." Krillian shrugs his shoulders.
"In all honesty we witch are very much sexual being there are even witches who use sex to stockpile Mana."
"So what about you, are you poly?"
"I'm open to all possibilities why set limits on love."
"Typical answer for a Witch."
"Typical comeback for a wolf." The two stared at each other as Krillian laid his daughter on the bed.
"So how long was I out?"
"Only a couple of hours, the council has agreed to allow you to become the forge master, on the conditions that you deal with the corrupt in the forest as well as teach Gaby how to properly use her magic."
"I can understand their motives, especially when it comes to Gaby mastering magic. They want to increase their military power, though I hope they realize that I already planned to do most of these things anyway."
"I had a feeling you'd say something along those lines, come on the Alpha wants to speak with you in private. There are other conditions she would like to tell you about in person." Krillian pulled himself up from the bed and turned to look at his daughter. "If you want I can mind link Gabby to come to watch her for you, she's been begging for a chance to play with Mel." Krillian laughed at what he was told before walking out of the room. His smile grew even bigger when he saw Gaby running out of her room with an arm full of clothing. Baby clothing to be exact, Gaby stopped and her eyes widened at the sight of both Chris and Krillian standing in front of her.
"Oh... um, these are just clothes that I thought she might like. I'm not going to dress her up in each outfit and have a tea party or anything like that." Gaby Awkwardly laughed while she past the two boys and closed the door behind her.
"There wasn't a lot of girls to play with when she was younger, were there?"
"Not any that she got along with."
---------------------------
"I refuse." Krillian sat in the alphas office once again. There was a contract in front of him that was meant for him to sign but once he read over the fine print, all pleasantries went out the window at the last condition listed in his contract.
"Excuse me, which condition have you found to be unagreeable?" Krillian lifted his brow at the woman.
"You expect me to give you the bloodstone. I will not put that in anyone's hands except my daughter when she comes of age. Just as it has been passed down throughout generations of Silva Witches."
"With all due respect, if I put your story together right Mel is the daughter of you Krillian Silva and Catalina Tes. She'd be able to use that stone on her own. Plus that thing was made with my ancestor's blood."
"You know I would like to remind you that that stone is the only reason the wolves were convinced by the witches to come to a peaceful compromise 15 years ago. Furthermore, my daughter is being raised around wolves I doubt that there's going to be a reason for her to hate all of the wolf kind. As for having a claim on the stone, it's been in my family's possession for the last 500 years and contains all the magic of my most powerful ancestor." The Alpha sighed as the wicked smile covered his face.
"You have no intention of giving us the bloodstone do you?"
"Not one bit, the main reason is that I'm pretty sure that without me the bloodstone will be tracked by the catastrophe witches who captured me. So Let's be honest the only one who's strong enough to fight a 10th tier witch is you, Untouchable Wolf."
"So you do know about my reputation."
"Of course, every witch has heard about the untouchable wolf. All wolves have the ability to infuse their fur with nature energy making it possible to allow the weaker magiks to slide right off of them. Then there's you whose power is so strong that even high tier spells can't affect you. But you still won't be able to stand against 4 catastrophes."
"That's why we're asking for the stone the alpha kings blood contains an almost infinite amount of Nature energy, we wolves can connect with that energy and use it to become stronger. It may take a while to do but it's better than nothing."
"I see where you're coming from but instead of making everyone just a little bit stronger why don't we made a select few strong enough to fight catastrophe witches."
"What exactly are you proposing?"
"I'll make you powerful weapons strong enough to kill a catastrophe."
"You can make a weapon strong enough to cut through the longevity spell placed on a catastrophe witch."
"Theoretically yes, during the year and a half that I was captured I've thought long and hard about how to create a weapon like this. The spell of longevity calls upon the power of the 5 creator gods to slow down the aging process and preserve life. Gaia, mother of all pantheons, Hecate mother of witches, Freya mother of elves, Jehovah father of humans, and Ishtar mother of Wolves. Theoretically, any weapon that is imbued with the power of each god can kill anything on this earth."
"And you have those tools, to give out each blessing?"
"Most have already been given to us. Such as living steel it's a metal created by melting the black sand that forms around the burial sites of creatures who contained mystical energy. You should take notes Alpha I'm about to give away the main ingredient needed in making weapons strong enough to withstand werewolf strength. It's said that both Gaia and Freya comes into play when black sand is made. For it forms from the body of Gaia and the earth spark created by Freya. When you Barry a supernatural being their body is still releasing mana, even their bones and until the bones, themselves completely disappear it continues to release mama. This mana seeps into the earth around it and crystallizes thought this can only happen because Gaia soul resides within every part of the earth and Freya made the earth fertile and able to absorb nutrients. Thus giving living steel both of their blessings.."
"So that's the metal everyone uses to create stronger weapon we've always noticed the earth turns darker at gravesites but we never knew it could be used in such a way. But what about the other gods there's three left.
"Well as for Hecate and Jehovah they worked together to create the first circle of hell.
"The circle of purifying flames."
"Also known as the golden flames, the two gods combined their knowledge and power to create a flame that can burn away the impurities of any soul. If a weapon is melted down within the heat of the golden flame it will be imbued with its might. But as for Ishtar, I don't know of something that she has blessed with her power besides wolves with the sacred sight and I don't think mama Ressa is willing to give up her eyes." The Alpha sat back and smiled at Kie. She moved the contract back over to here and raised a finger over the last part of Krillian's contract erasing it.
"I think I can solve that last problem for you but first you must because of a member of the pack." The contract slid in front of him it was the typical magic contract, from the looks of it the rim of the contract was written in magic binding runes a type of magic that anyone with mystical energy could use. Most of them spoke of binding and holding some to their word but a few of them spoke of Punishment and bringing down calamity upon those who break their word. Krillian took the knife next on the table and pressed it to his thumb until it bleeds. Within a square at the bottom of the paper, his thumbprint was placed and like magic, his name wrote itself out on the dotted line.
"I give praises to whoever writes up these magic contracts. I didn't see one flaw in their work."
"Well, I'll tell Sam that you think his work is flawless coming from a 9th tier witch that is quite the compliment."
"I spent most of my life collecting the spells and knowledge of other witches so I know an unbreakable contract when I see one. Mr. Sam must have worked very hard to grasp an understanding of runes to this extent there aren't even many witches who could make a better contract."
"He'll be quite pleased to hear that Krillian, now that your an official member of the pack there are a few things that I believe I need to show you."
---------------------------
Krillian found himself walking down the steps around the back of the packhouse. He felt as if they had been walking down for an hour. It had gotten to the point that the little hallway had to be lit up with torches.
"You know alpha if this was a Wattpad story I'd think you are leading me to my death." Alexandria laughed at his words.
"If I wanted to kill you, I wouldn't have to trick you down a flight of stairs to do it. Now come on were almost there." Krillian sees the outline and shimmer of an illusion just as he passed through it. The moment he opens his eyes on the other side was a well-lit room but its light didn't come from the sun. Decorating the cold stone walls were vines with glowing white flowers. And in the middle of the huge room was a statue of Ishtar, the moon Goddess, mother of the werewolf, and all animals of nature. The statue was just a little bit bigger than normal human size and in its hand, it held a larger stone that folds the room with immense energy.
" 500 years ago long after the alpha king was murder his descendants fled to a new land it was then that we found ourselves in America looking for a new place to live. We knew nothing about this land so our ancestors prayed to our goddess Ishtar to lead us to the place we could call home. That night when the full moon was high my ancestors watched as a piece of the moon itself broke off and fell to the earth. Since that day we have lived here where the stone land and named our pack the moonstone pack to honor our goddess's gift." She gestured for The witch to touch the stone. Krillian looked to her hesitate for a second before he reached his hand towards it. He could feel the power coming from the stone and with one touch he knew that even with his blessing he wouldn't be able to drain even half of the power in the stone even if he dedicated his life to it.
"This stone is quite powerful it feels as if I'm touching the entire moon."
"So it'll be sufficient in making a weapon that can hold against 10 tier magic."
"Yes maybe too sufficient." Krillian turned to the alpha. "Even if I split it into multiple pieces it'll be too strong."
"I don't understand was that the whole purpose of making the weapons so that they'll be strong."
"Let me explain, when combining any kind of magical blessings they have to be of equal quality or it won't mix properly. This stone holds a lot more power than living steel or hellfire. Hellfire and living steel are both connected to death in some form of ways so even though they aren't equal in quality they both mix very well. Hellfire is born from the burning of the souls of hell and live steel happens when the power of the soul is released from the body and into the ground, but this stone is a piece of origin magic. It's connected to the first thing Ishtar created."
"There must be a way to force it to connect, isn't there a spell or ingredient you can add in." Krillian thought about it long before he looked to the Alpha.
"I'll need powerful objects, magical objects that I can turn into binding agents."
"I have some artifacts in the weapons vault that we confiscated during the war, that you can look over.
"Then let's get started."
