Sunlight shines in my face as the sun rises over the horizon through the window. Blinded by the sudden light, I instantly try to sit up but am forced back down on the couch by someone's hands.
"You should lay back down for a little longer. I have a feeling you are not going to want to do anything for awhile after last night."
I look up to find Josh sitting down by my side on the couch.
"What are you talking about?"
"You partied hard last night, taking shots and chugging drinks between every song. Plus everyone has already got up and left for this morning."
'What? What does he mean everyone else left? I sit up and look around the room to see it is empty except for us two. No one else is here as far as I can see right now, but why would they leave and not tell me?'
"Where did everyone go?"
"They left about an hour ago to go to the mall for an all-day shopping spree."
"Damon, Adam, and Daniel went too?"
"Yeah, the girls agreed to take the boys out for lunch if they went with them to help carry all of their bags."
"I would have agreed to go too if I was offered free lunch," I say laughing.
He joins in the laughter at the idea of us all going to the mall just to get free food out of it.
"So what are you still doing here then?"
"Well I hope you do not mind but your phone went off and I answered it. It was a call from your dad. He was wondering where you were. He said he went to go and talk to you and you were not in your room. I figured someone should stay behind to give you the message, plus it looks like you could use some fun."
"Actually, I think I am just going to take another nap."
"Okay, I will just head over to Mia's house then. I will see you later on."
I get up to wrap my arms around Josh in a hug. We may not have worked out as a couple but he is still my friend and I care about him.
"Thanks for staying for me Josh. I appreciate it."
He smiles at me before walking out the door. I turn to walk over to Adam's refrigerator and grab me a bottle of water, hoping the coldness of it will wake me up. When I shut the door, I gasp from shock and almost fall to the floor in a faint. I grab the kitchen counter at the last minute to catch my balance.
"What are you doing here? Did anyone ever tell you that breaking and entering a house that is not yours is against the law?"
Alexander smiles and takes a step toward me.
"The door was unlocked so I just figured I would make myself at home. Plus you are here too."
"I did not break in though, I spent the night here last night."
"Oh really? How did your sleep over go then?"
"Why do you even care? Do you not have somewhere to be right now?"
I try to walk my way around him but he just grabs my elbow to stop and pull me against his side.
"I was really just wondering how the kiss with Damon was last night."
"Great thank you for asking."
I finally pull my arm out of his grasp to walk into the living room away from him.
"I was talking about the one later on in the night, when you went upstairs to clean the house. The kiss you shared in that dark room upstairs, the one with the balcony."
I stop dead in my tracks as his words hit me.
'How could he possibly know about that kiss? Is he spying on me now?'
I turn around to give him a dirty look.
"That is none of your business because you and I are not together. How did you know about that anyways?"
He smiles, "oh believe me when I say I have my ways but I will never tell them to you."
'He has no right to spy on me or care about what is going on in my life. It is absolutely none of his business what I did with Damon, even if I would love to brag to him about how amazing the kiss was last night.'
I look back over at Alexander to see him still smiling.
"You do not own me so why do you care what I do then? You have no say in the matter."
"I know you do not like this whole marriage concept but being your fiance, I have to look out for you and that includes being concerned with the people you hangout with a lot."
"No, like I said before and will say it again, it is none of your business. Now you better leave before I call Adam."
He stalks toward me and stares down at my face, "I will be watching you."
He bends down to plant a kiss on my forehead as I close my eyes, scared of his closeness. His lips on me send a shiver down my spine.
'Why does he make me feel this way?'
A sudden breeze makes me open my eyes to notice he has left. Taking a nap is now definitely out of the question. After seeing Alexander here, I am not so sure he is not going to come back and see me again. I walk the rest of the way over to the couch and sit down.
'How does Alexander know about Damon and I kissing last night upstairs? Why does he even care about it anyways? Is he jealous or is he just acting this way because we are supposed to get married to one another?'
Stressing about Alexander begins to make me weary as I forget to stay up and accidentally fall back asleep while sitting on the couch.

The breeze that caresses my face feels so amazing combined with the hot sun. I look around to see that I am at the community park sitting on one of the benches. Looking over to me left, I see Lauren is sitting at one of the picnic tables across from me. I start to get up and walk toward her when I notice she suddenly has company with her. His back is turned to me so I cannot make out who she is talking to but whoever it is, she must really like them by the huge smile that is on her face. I tuck behind a tree to listen in on their conversation.
"I am so glad you decided to take a chance and go out with me."
"Me too, you are very sweet."
"No, you are the one who is so sweet. I was just kind of upset with you when you said no to me the first time I asked you out. Why did you say no by the way?"
"I was sort of trying to hangout and get to know this one girl but I am definitely over her. I like you now."
"I like you too."
The problem with this whole scene that is happening in front of me is that I feel like his voice is familiar to me. Finally he turns around to face Lauren head on. He reaches out to caress her face before leaning in and kissing her on the lips. My heart aches as I realize why his voice is so familiar to me. It is the voice I have come to know and love whenever I hear it everywhere. His voice sounds like soft silk running against my skin everytime I hear it. My heart continues to break and I feel like crying when he smiles at her, making my soul shatter in despair.
