Mother

"Those bastards won't even know what hit them. Great job in being able to infiltrate the tournament in this stupid get-up." A whiny female voice spoke up.

She was dressed in a lolita styled gown in the colours red and black. Her black hair was pulled into a large high ponytail with a large black and red ribbon placed at the very top. Her large crimson eyes bore into the masked man before her.

Her heart-shaped pupils dilated as random thoughts went through her mind. Her red-painted lips formed into a pout. The masked man sighed before placing the microphone in his hands on the white dressing table before him.

"Let's hope that we're able to snatch him and annihilate his team without the tournament arrangers understanding what's even happening."

He answered back, speaking with a worn-out voice. "Who would've thought that you would choose the announcer role? Mater Yves was laughing in his seat the entire morning." Memories of her silver-haired master laughing and crying filled her head.

The quietest member of her team yelling annoyingly would be hilarious to anyone. The man took off his mask revealing a beautiful face. His long, silky black hair fell over his shoulders.

His crimson eyes with heart-shaped pupils stared at his sister before cracking a toothy grin. "Barragan is here, do you wanna mess with him?" His sister nodded her head. "Nico and Tobias are now in action!" She exclaimed in a corny way.

"AAAAAAAAAAAA!" The trees around the team broke down. By now they were completely away from the other contestants, but they somehow regrouped with Ivankov.

A giant blue frog with green dots was chasing them relentlessly. The place had started to heavily rain, making navigation incredibly hard.

The strong winds were causing Evlia's flight an issue, so she remained in her human form. Magnus' happy go lucky attitude since he had arrived in Locrome was starting to wear off.

He was feeling snappy, explosive even. He is smart enough to put together that it may be the effects of the forest they've been running around in the last hour.

Thali spotted an exit on her right side. "Elvia! Trap the frog using your magic!" The fairy listened and placed her palm forward. "Occlude!" A bright orange cube traps the frog inside, and at the same time, Thali leads the team including Ivankov toward the exit. In front of them was a large misty valley.

The sky was a pastel purple whilst the ground was a pastel blue.

The entire valley was in pastel colour mimicking the kingdom's aesthetics. They walked slowly, Mortale eyeing everything around him rather suspiciously. Ivankov observed the group and said something in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere.

Magnus smiled before dropping it.The cause, you ask? An ear-piercing sound of crying encompassed the

entire area.

"Jesus, my ears!" The boy yelled, his green eyes frantically searching for the source. The wailing only got louder, then silence followed suit. The sky was from a vibrant pastel to a gloomy dark purple.

The valleys disappeared, and what stood before them were nothing but corpse-like creatures. All just standing there. The floor before them started turning into a dark pool, a feeling of absolute dread going through their body.

The wailing once again started, this time it was louder. Magnus dropped to his knees, a quiet splash noise following suit. His hands were over his ears, and his eyes closed shut. The rest were alert, surrounding the struggling boy.

Waves of water splashed over them repeatedly, knocking them back and forth. Just what on earth was going on? Like a prayer, it was answered. Behind the corpse-like stationery creatures, stood a tall, lanky girl with a body con a white dress.

Her hair was long, black, and pin straight. Her eyes were doll-like and black with white ace-shaped pupils. Her skin was pale and clear.

A bright light illuminated round her, as if she were an angel sent down here to save them. Magnus looked up and felt a shiver go through his entire body.

His eyes strained to make sure he wasn't seeing what he saw. Beside the glowing woman stood a short female. She looked much older and had fire-red hair. Her eyes were gold, she also had a motherly look to her

Elvia looked at him and back at the woman. Her eyebrows furrowed, and her mouth opened, ready to ask the big question. It happened all so slowly.

His mother's look alike, with a blink of an eye, was in front of him, cupping his face. A soft look was painted on her face. His eyes lost their gleams as bags grew under them. He was in shock. It had to be some sort of sick joke."My dear boy." Her voice was exactly like hers.

The voice that would read him bedtime stories as a child.

The voice that would comfort him. Magnus's eyes teared up, and the rest of the team froze in their spot, unable to do anything. The red-haired boy then reached to hug her, then he stopped.

His eyes widened at what she was wearing.

Flashbacks to the night in Beiniholm flooded his mind.

The thousands of corpses lay on top of each other. His mother is being defiled right in front of him. How could she? No, how dare she wear their uniform.

His body violently shook, and a burst of black energy with orange highlights surrounded his body. Violent winds knocked the group and Ivankov back.

His 'mother' backflipped and stood there in confusion.

The glowing raven-haired girl stood there amused. Magnus looked mad, really mad. "How dare you?"

"HOW FUCKING DARE YOU?"
