"uhmm... Okay I'll go if Master agrees"
"He will, we just need to persuade him. Remember how we used to persuade Old Yan to give us more food?"
"hahaha... Master is not Old Yan. Besides, we were kids then, anyone would have indulged us." Su had always known that those tricks worked on Old Yan because they were kids
"don't worry, i'll go talk to him at first light tomorrow, we would be here when the meeting is held. I will then come to tell the trainees when he has agreed. Though i don't want Yangi that mischievous dunk to come with us"
"why...?"
"he has always hated you"
"but he can't do anything about it right?, and now I don't think he hates me anymore... he's been quite reserved and well-behaved"
"he must've been looking out for another chance to humiliate you..."
"well, I won't let him get one"
"He's a petty man, let's not worry about him. Come, let us sleep, we will have a long day tomorrow" Lu Kang finally ends the conversation.
At first light the next day, Lu Kang met with his father alone and informed him of his desire to travel to Town with the others.
Immediately he mentioned it, Master Lu objected; it would be trouble for him if the Dead Owls captured and used any of them as bargains for their upcoming meeting.
After few persuasions from Lu Kang, Master Lu agreed to the request. He reasoned that he couldn't keep them in longer than necessary. Besides, he had seen how they fought during the attack the previous day.
However, he would only allow them go provided Yeong accompained them and they returned before nightfall. Lu Kang immediately gave his Father his word and hastened to inform the others about it.
"Su, Father agreed!" Lu Kang could not wait to break the news to his brother. He then turned to the others "Hey, Master agreed! hahahaha we're going to Town...."
He then proceeded to tell them about the seemingly easy conditions the Master had given them. They were all so happy.
They hastily prepared and embarked on the journey to Town with Yeong accompanying them.
