Each man with his own thought

"pardon me your highness, but i cannot go into the palace without permission from my master. If your highness would like to learn some skills, you should visit our Lu Academy sometime"

"alright, alright, Lu Academy it is..."

"we should leave now My Prince" a soft reminder came from the chief guard

"i do not know your name" the Prince would not leave with loose ends

"Su from the Lu Academy at your service, your highness" Su bowed to the Prince once more

"great! Su... Su from the Lu Academy.... Su..."

The Prince then got on a horse and embarked on the journey back to the palace with his entourage, with the assasin leader tied to the back of one of their horses.

Su, Lu Kang and the other two warriors looked on at their trail till they went out of sight, each man with his own thought.

Su's head was the lightest, he felt at peace like a big burden had been lifted off him. He could not wait to get back to the others, have a good bath, good sleep and even food.

He commended himself mentally on how good he fought and handled the situation. This was perhaps his first real adventure on the road to becoming a warrior.

Lu Kang was genuinely glad that Su was alive after the ordeal and was thinking many scenarios in his head.

He even thought about how sad he would be if Su had died and didn't attend his wedding with his 'ideal woman' and how Lu Academy would've been dead to him if he were to return alone.

Lu Kang was a very different type of person; in less than 3 minutes, he had imagined a hundred different case.

The warrior and trainee had similar thoughts in their brain; Su had just washed away their chance of visiting the King and getting a generous reward by not following the Prince to the palace.

They looked at Su with a side eye and wanted to hold a grudge with him on this issue but decided to let it go not because they were kind enough to remember that it was he who did the most and could reject the offer if he so wanted, but because, they took their thought to another dimension; the King was not like the Prince, he would surely order for his son's saviours to be brought into the palace and gifted.

With this thought, they nodded at themselves in satisfaction.

And so, the group left the scene and returned to the others at Mt. Chi.

Su and Lu Kang shared a horse.
