Temporary suspension (6)

Eight in the morning.

Everything still seemed like a dream to me. Or was it more like a nightmare?

Couldn't tell.

I hadn't slept a wink the entire night, and all that remained around me were scattered empty cans of energy drinks. I had severely underestimated the work that a Tier 4 Star Chaser manager had to do.

"I want back..."

This was hell.

Literal hell.

Slumping against my chair, I let out a long breath.

"Huh."

My job as Amelia's manager was not the only concern I had at the moment. A while back, I was thinking about my vision, one of the most recent ones.

When I considered how things were progressing, I could see how I had lost my job.

"Things aren't looking good."

I clicked my tongue.

A lot of things were also becoming clearer to me. For example, I now understood what it meant when they said Richard beat me.

"...It probably referred to the Rookie of the Year Award."
