Chapter 11

The Catmobile took the lead and headed into Algeria, but they saw both The Flower Truck and The Poker Machine close behind them when they looked out their side mirrors. Meanwhile, the other racers were in the twinkling dust in Morocco. Narita said, "I can't see." Sarah said, "Hold on, I think I have an idea." Sarah felt the control panel in their car and thought she had found the button she was looking for, so she pushed it, put the hood on, and closed the windows. Then they opened their eyes and could see again. Since they could see again, Narita started their car and drove them out of the sparkling dust. Once they left the dust, Sarah opened the windows and put the hood down. Lacey said, "Looks like Narita and Sarah found a way out of the sparkling dust and have gotten back in the race."

Donaven and Nayanna were getting annoyed by the sparkling dust. Donaven said, "Where is everyone?" Nayanna said, "Donaven, where are you?" Donaven said, "Don't know, but I'll send you a postcard when I do." Nayanna said, "How will we get out of here?" Donaven said, "I think I know. Quick, put your sunglasses on." Donaven and Nayanna put their sunglasses on so the twinkle wouldn't bother them. Then they opened their eyes since they could see again, got back in their car, and drove out of the sparkling dust.

Meanwhile, Easter Town was catching up with the leading racers. Team Poker saw Team Easter behind them and wondered how that could be possible. Penny said, "Last time we saw those two was when we left them in the sparkling dust. How'd they escape?" Easter Town drove up to The Poker Machine and drove next to them. Sarah said, "Our little secret. See you." Narita hit the gas and passed The Poker Machine. Then Sarah hit the turbo boost button and speeded up their car. Then they drove by The Flower Truck and The Catmobile and took the lead.

The Poker Machine was gaining on The Flower Truck. Then Jackie pushed a button in their car and threw a giant pie at The Flower Truck. Then The Flower Truck and The Catmobile got covered in a cream pie, and The Poker Machine passed them. Then, Team Cat and Team Flower turned on their wipers and cleaned the cream pie off their windshields. Then everyone from 1st-5th headed out of Algeria and into Libya while all the other racers were still in the twinkling dust in Morocco. The sparkling dust still blinded Hannah and Zach, but then they activated a fan attached to the hood of their car and made a clear path through the dust. Then, they drove through the clear direction they made and speeded out of the sparkling dust. Once they got out of the sparkling dust, they tried to catch up with the other leading racers.

Easter Town is still in the lead, and when they saw The Poker Machine catching up, they pulled a lever in their car and threw a tiny disco ball at them. Once they threw it, it grew, and The Poker Machine dodged it, but Team Cat got trapped. Chris said, "Great. Now we're trapped in a disco ball." Joseph started to dance to the music that was playing. Joseph said, "I know it's bad, but you must admit this song is catchy." Chris and Joseph started dancing because they had no choice if they were inside that disco ball. While dancing, Lacey and Stephanie saw them on their TV screen. Lacey said, "Looks like Chris and Joseph are stuck dancing until they get out of that disco ball."

The sparkling dust was still blinding Team Monkey, but then they put on glass helmets, opened their eyes, and drove out of the sparkling dust. Once out, Angi and Jarrett removed their helmets and returned to the race—everyone from 1st-4th passed the sphinx and raced to the finish line at the pyramids. The Werewolf Howler headed into Libya and saw Chris and Joseph still dancing in the giant disco ball. The Speeding Monkey was heading into Algeria. And Team Canoe and Team Genie were still trapped in the sparkling dust in Morocco. Easter Town was in the lead, but when they saw The Poker Machine catching up, Sarah dumped a sack of apples onto the track, and both The Poker Machine and The Flower Truck drove onto them and lost control of their cars. Then, The Wheeled Mummy Case speeded past them and took 2nd place.

The Werewolf Howler is leaving Libya and heading into Egypt. The Speeding Monkey was driven by Chris and Joseph, who were still dancing inside the giant disco ball once they got to Libya. Joseph said, "Ok, we got to get out of here." Chris said, "How?" Joseph said, "I think I got an idea." Joseph danced towards their car, elbowed a button in their vehicle while he danced, and activated the voice activation setting. Joseph said, "Go and smash through the disco ball." Then their car drove towards the side of the disco ball and smashed through it. Joseph said, "We're out." Then Chris and Joseph danced out of the disco ball and finally stopped dancing when they got out. Once they did, they returned to their car, deactivated the voice-activated setting, and returned to the race.

Once they finished, Easter Town crossed it 1st, The Wheeled Mummy Case finished 2nd, The Poker Machine finished 3rd, The Flower Truck finished 4th, and The Werewolf Howler finished 5th. Meanwhile, the sparkling dust still blinded Team Canoe, but they put a glass cover over their car and opened their eyes to see again. Then they hit the gas, drove out of Morocco, and headed into Algeria. The Catmobile was gaining on The Speeding Monkey, but Angi and Jarrett refused to let them pass them. Meanwhile, The Speed Canoe was too far behind to catch up, so they activated their turbo speed and speeded up their car. The sparkling dust kept Team Genie in Morocco. Then they drove out of the sparkling dust and tried to catch up with The Speed Canoe once they got into Algeria. The Speeding Monkey and The Catmobile passed the sphinx and headed towards the pyramids, where the finish line was. The Genie's Bottle was in last place, but they were catching up with The Speed Canoe. The Speed Canoe and The Genie's Bottle drove next to each other and tried to pass but couldn't. Once they left Algeria, they raced into Libya and headed for Egypt.

Once they reached the pyramids, The Speeding Monkey finished 6th, and The Catmobile finished 7th. Once they arrived, everyone at the finish line looked at Lacey and Stephanie's TV screen and saw The Speed Canoe neck and neck with The Genie's Bottle. Donaven said, "Jeepers, they're neck and neck." While they watched The Speed Canoe drive next to The Genie's Bottle in the race, they all started to sing together, wondering who would finish first since they were neck and neck. When they reached the finish line, The Speed Canoe crossed 8th, and The Genie's Bottle finished last. Lacey said, "Congratulations, racers, on making it to the next finish line, but we just got informed that the finish line moved to El Paso. So, you are to set up camp and spend the night here. Once morning comes, you all will dress like cowboys and cowgirls and race to El Paso. The outfits are so you look the part. You may as well be cowboys and cowgirls since you'll drive to Texas. Easter Town will get a 60-second head start since they came in 1st." Stephanie said, "We're also letting a new team into the race. Say 'hello' to Lela and Melissa in The Frog Hopper. Well, have a good night." Then a helicopter came and got Lacey and Stephanie, and Eric flew them back to the network while the racers set up camp for the night.
