Chapter 21

The Tropical Balloon is in 5th, but Gabby pulled a rope, increasing their balloon's altitude. Then they floated by both The Flower Balloon and The Alternate Balloon and took the lead. Once The Tropical Balloon took the lead, Mary took a harpoon and threw it in front of them. The spear flew over The Alternate Balloon and popped Team Surf's balloon. Then Team Surf's balloon deflated, and they started to free-fall down into the ocean. Gabby said, "Jess, the parachutes." Jess gave them both parachutes, and they jumped out of their car. Gabby shouted, "Geronimo!" Then, they both opened their chutes and parachuted into the middle of the ocean, where their vehicle sank. Then they looked down and saw a swordfish come out of the water. Then Gabby and Jess landed in the sea, and all the other racers raced by them. They saw a few swordfish swimming by them and sharks going after the racers. Gabby and Jess then swam away from the swordfish, and two dolphins doing parallel swimming let them hitch a ride. Gabby and Jess then rode the dolphins to Morocco, where Eric from the network got them and took them back to the network.

The Heroic Powerboat is last, but they passed everyone from 7th to 6th and took 6th place. The Alternate Balloon is in the lead, and when they saw The Flower Balloon behind them, they started to throw darts at them and tried to pop their balloon. The Apple Powerboat was last, and when they caught up with The Heroic Powerboat, they passed them and took 6th place. The Junglecopter is in 5th and flew by The Flower Balloon and The Alternate Balloon and took the lead. The Volcanic Speedboat is in 4th, and when they saw The Cat Motorboat behind them, they flipped a switch, pulled a lever, and pushed a button in their boat. Then they shot arrows up at the racers flying in the air, silver stars at the racers racing in ships behind them, and a laser underneath the water at The Piano Dolphin. Once The Piano Dolphin saw the laser, they rode around it, speeding up their dolphin while the laser chased them. The Flower Balloon is in 4th, and when they saw The Volcanic Speedboat right below them, they cut one of their sandbags off their balloon and dropped it on The Volcanic Speedboat. Katie shouted, "Total special delivery!" Team Volcano stopped their boat, and the sandbag missed them. Then, The Flower Balloon passed The Volcanic Speedboat and took 4th place. The Cat Motorboat was in 5th, and when they saw The Volcanic Speedboat in front of them, they speeded up the motor on their boat, passed everyone from 4th-3rd, and took 3rd place. The Alternate Balloon is in 2nd, and when they saw The Flower Balloon behind them, Tonya started to fire arrows at all the racers behind and below them with a bow while Tyler drove. Tonya nearly hit everyone in and under the water and barely missed everyone behind them.

Once the racers got to Portugal, a whale came out of the water and spewed The Alligator Sailboat. Lacey said, "Hey, Team Alligator is back." Stephanie said, "Yes, and that's amazing because the last time we saw them, they got eaten by a whale like Katie and Mary." Then they turned their boats, helicopters, hot air balloons, and robotic dolphins back into cars and raced to their pit stop. The Portable Volcano is in 4th, and when they saw The Flower Truck behind them, Katie threw three smoke bombs at The Portable Volcano, and Shelly launched three arrows at The Flower Truck with her bow. When the arrows and smoke bombs hit each other, the darts blew up the smoke bombs, blinded both The Portable Volcano and The Flower Truck. The Heroic Racer is in 7th, and when they saw The Piano Trap behind them, they hit a hornet's nest with a baseball bat and hit it in The Piano Trap. Then, the hornets exited their nest and started stinging Cory and Tonya. The Catmobile is in 3rd, and when they saw The Alternate Choice in front of them, they raced past them and The Jungle Explorer and took the lead. The Jungle Explorer is in 2nd, and when they saw The Alternate Choice behind them, Gana threw a tiny disco ball at them. Once she threw it, it grew, and both The Alternate Choice and The Portable Volcano dodged it, but The Flower Truck got trapped in it, and Team Flower started to dance. Torie said, "Don't tell me you guys are afraid of a little dancing." Katie said, "Great. Now we're trapped here and have to dance." The Alternate Choice was gained on The Jungle Explorer and kept shooting a laser beam at them. Torie said, "Keep on it, Gana. They're gaining on us."

The racers are headed out of Portugal and into Spain. The Apple Picker is in 5th, and when they saw The Heroic Racer behind them, Kate tried to spray them with a giant squirt gun built into their car, but The Heroic Racer dodged it, and they blasted The Piano Trap away instead. The Jungle Explorer was in 2nd, and once they saw The Catmobile in front of them, they hit the gas, passed them, and took the lead. The Portable Volcano is in 4th, and when they saw The Alternate Choice in front of them, they hit the gas, passed it, and took 3rd place. The Alternate Choice was in 4th, and once they caught up with The Portable Volcano, they raced by them and took 3rd place.

The racers are headed out of Spain and into France. The Jungle Explorer is in 1st, and when they saw The Catmobile behind them, they pulled a lever in their car and started to fire eggs at everyone from 2nd-7th. Gana said, "That's it, keep firing." The Piano Trap is in 7th, and once they saw eggs coming their way, they put up a shield and put earmuffs on so they wouldn't hear anything. Then Tonya plugged her guitar into the radio, turned the volume up, and started to play it and sing. Then, The Heroic Racer and The Apple Picker covered their ears because they couldn't stand Tonya's loudness. Then The Piano Trap passed them both and took 5th place. The Catmobile is in 2nd, and when they saw The Alternate Choice behind them, Joseph started to throw mashed potatoes at everyone behind them and hit everyone from 3rd-6th. They laughed once Lacey and Stephanie saw what was happening on their TV screen. Lacey said, "Another food fight. This food fight should be fun."

Meanwhile, Team Flower was still dancing in Portugal. But then Mary elbowed a button in their car, which activated a boxing glove that destroyed the side of the disco ball. Then Katie and Mary danced out, and Katie whistled for their vehicle. Once their car drove out, they got back in their car and back in the race. The Portable Volcano is neck and neck with The Alternate Choice, while The Catmobile is neck and neck with The Jungle Explorer.

The Flower Truck was in last, and once they got to Spain, they flipped a switch in their car, activated their turbo boosters, and tried to catch up with the other racers in France. The Catmobile is in second, and once they caught up with The Jungle Explorer, they passed them and saw Dracula's castle. The Portable Volcano is in 4th, and when they saw The Piano Trap behind them, they shot goo on the road, and everyone from 7th to last got stuck in it. The Heroic Racer is in 7th, and while they were in the goo, they activated their car's propeller, flew out of the goo, and resumed their 7th place position. The Alternate Choice is in 3rd, and once they saw The Portable Volcano behind them, Tyler tried to shoot them with a flame thrower, but The Portable Volcano dodged it. The flame spread towards everyone from 5th-7th while The Portable Volcano passed The Alternate Choice and took 3rd place. The Piano Trap is in 5th, and when they saw The Alternate Choice in front of them, they activated a gun on their car and started shooting both Team Choice's and Team Volcano's cars. Then they passed them both and took 3rd place. The Apple Picker is in 6th, but they flipped a switch in their car, turned it into a plane, and flew over the other racers. Then they landed their aircraft in front of The Catmobile, took the lead, and turned it back into a car. The Jungle Explorer is in 3rd, and once they saw The Piano Trap behind them, they poured honey onto the track, and everyone from 4th-6th got stuck in it.
