David and company were still on a carriage a thousand miles away from the sect when they were located.
"Stop the carriage," a man demanded while levitating in the air.
The driver had enough common sense to be subservient in front of people who could fly. "Immortals, please deal with it," he whispered fearfully to the three cultivators hitching a ride with him.
David left the cart with Susan and Amanda on his side. "Senior, we are from the Jade Sky Sect, may I ask why did you stop us?" he asked as politely as possible. Only seventh-stage cultivators and above could move in the air without condensing Qi as a foothold. David couldn't do it even in his true persona.
"Are you David, Susan, and Amanda?" the elder questioned.
