Bruised and Confused

I feel pain. Not just a dull ache but a stabbing, wish you were unconscious type of pain. I try to open my eyes but still everything seems dark and disorienting. My hands reach to grab my throbbing head but someone grasps my arm keeping me from doing just that.

"Don't touch it, it will only make it worse", a voice I don't recognize says. I let my arms drop back to my side and look towards the voice still seeing nothing. "Can't see anything ", he asks though it sounds more like a statement. I go to shake my head no but the sudden movement makes my head feel like its going to explode and I cry out in pain. "I suppose that's a blessing in disguise", the voice responds. and something ice cold lays on top of my head. Though it causes discomfort at first soon a soothing numbing sensation replaces it.

"Who are you", I ask, not raising my voice above a whisper. No reply follows at first but I hear movement beside me, things being scooted and tossed as if they are looking for something. Finally the movement stops and the person stills now standing to my right side.

" No one that you would know." The voice states. I do my best trying to listen more closely. The low monotone voice doesn't sound like one I had ever heard. The fluctuations in there speech was barely noticeable. Though they don't sound menacing the atmosphere around them seems terrifying.

"Did you do this to me", I ask motioning towards my head careful to not move to much. The stranger sighs in what seems like annoyance.

"I did but it wasn't on purpose I assure you. I was looking for something that treasonous Dante stole from my grandparents. I didn't expect anyone to be in the carriage while parked at a fancy palace", he says with a huff. Remembering the carriage I suddly panic, what of Luna and Sky they are being so quiet.

"Where am i", I ask suspiciously. This doesn't feel like the carriage seat. Nor would Luna be so quiet.

"Well unfortunately your dog alerted someone thanks to its yapping and I grabbed you as collateral. Dante will come for you and I will bargain your life for my medallion", he informs me of his ingenious plan.

"Oh God", I groan tiredly. This idiot doesn't know anything. "Your plan might would actually work if the guy cared for me at all", I respond angrily.

"What do you mean", he asks quickly with a hint of uneasiness about him.

"I mean that I don't know the guy at all. The only reason he was traveling with us is because we were going the same direction", I bite out angrily.

"So you don't think he will give me what I want", he asks quietly.

"No I don't think he will give you anything, he won't even bother to come find you so you've put us both in a bit of a predicament".

"The temporary blindness should wear off in about two or three hours and sorry about your bags", the voice says before I hear someone walking away.

"Seriously your just going to abandon me", I cry out trying to stand making my head throb painfully bringing me back to my knees.

No response is returned however as my mysterious kidnapper decides to run off. "Just great ", I groan doing my best to not cry. Should I get up and try to find my way or should I stay in one spot till my eyesight returns. I decide to stay where I am, there is no way I'd be able to make it far right now.
