The carriage was ready, with no guard or knight to accompany them. Lucian offered Erin his hand and helped her sit in the carriage before following her inside.
At the signal, the coachman rode away. Inside the carriage, Erin and Lucian were sitting facing each other. While Erin was still conflicted with the chat she had with her brother, Lucian picked up the blanket and put it over her.
She observed him closely, his expression serious as he cared for her. 'Care? He cares for everyone.'
Once he set the blanket around her, his gaze met hers. He could feel her gaze was not that of a happy woman but a little sad, with something else in it, as if she wanted to ask him various questions.
"Do you want to talk about something?" he asked.
Taken aback, she shook her head. 'Maybe I am just being hasty. I shall wait for the day. He is taking me away; maybe he will express his feelings when we are alone.'
