What are you..? 2

"Shit.."

Roman cursed inwardly getting up from the bed. He had forgotten that she is not like him. He would have compelled her too but he felt it was wrong to do so. Or should he?

No... he shouldn't...

" A being but not human."

"just like your friend..." He said taking his eyes to her. He doesn't want to tamper her memories, so he decided to come clean.

"My Friend..? Which of my... wait.. you've been stalking me..?" Camilla asked slowly moving from fear to anger. She knew who he was talking about as Kimberly is the only close friend she has.

However..

She also knew that he was not a mere human from the moment he shifted inside that restroom last night but she can't tell what he is with what she saw.

To her, his face has scales like that of a snake and his yellow eyes and arms which had black fur with a black sharp claw was like that of a wolf.

"Stalk you..? Hah! And who do you think you are for me to stalk you..?" Roman said with soft scoff.

Right!

A popular playboy like him couldn't have that time to stalk her but she couldn't help but find it suspicious.

Or was it just a coincidence?

Camilla thought.

"How did you know that she is like you..?" She asked relaxing a bit.

"I just... know." He said his eyes landing on her exposed laps.

"But she doesn't change like you did..." she said.

"What are you..?" She asked turning her attention fully to him, unaware of the eyes burning hole inside her exposed laps.

"Am a half-siren and half-wolf..." He said not moving his eyes away from her laps. After he said those words, he had expected her to asked further questions but he heard none.

Suddenly, something soft from nowhere hit his face. Snapping his head up to look at her, he saw her reaching her hand for another pillow to throw at him.

"Pervert..!!" She grab another pillow throwing it towards him, which he dodged with a mischievous chuckle.

"Finally tagged as a pervert instead of a savior.." he muttered with a smile as he made his way to the bathroom.

Immediately he was out of sight, Camilla quickly got out of the bed. Arranging her messy hair, she went to his wardrobe. Taking off her clothes in swift move, she picked one of his long shirt and put it on. She wouldn't want to remind him that he had almost seen her everything last night.

Not caring to find a bag to put the clothes she just removed. She picked her bag and slowly sneaked out of the room.

At the same time inside the bathroom, Roman let out a soft chuckle. With his wolf ability, her scent faded making him aware that she has already left.

However...

"Plok"

"Plok"

"Plok"

Chattering sounds of rain droplets could be heard in the mid afternoon but the sky says otherwise as it was darker than it should.

Kimberly made her way towards an abandoned but magnificent building. The building looked unkempt with an unwanted grasses everywhere on it.

Some of the flowers had overgrown and some had dried as no one was taking care of them. The leaves of the dried flowers could be seen scattered everywhere. Some of the windows of the house were broken and filled with a unwanted grasses.

The closed gate was filled with cobwebs and some part of it had rusted. A prohibition bill was pasted at the front of it.

The abandoned but magnificent building was none other than her home which she had sold five years ago. It was said that after she sold the house, three families who had lived there were hunted. Some said that Helena's vengeful spirit was the one hunting people. While some said that it was a cursed house since the owner practiced black magic.

However...

No one would want to buy or rent a house being hunted. Thus, making it a hunted house. One could hardly see any house close the abandoned building in the area.

No one was to be hunted....

Kimberly didn't need a soothsayer to tell her that it was all Michelle's doing all these five years.

To avoid suspicions, she sneaked in the house through the secret route only she and her mother knew. She was putting on a black hoodie and pants with a black snickers.

Getting into the house, every where was pitch black. She knew her way around as she headed towards the living room.

Broken glasses from some of the properties of the last resident of the house could be seen everywhere. A black dried liquid one could tell was blood, could also be seen on the floor as it was trailed to the direction of the kitchen. Any one who saw this would know that the owner of the blood, really struggled for his or her life. The white sofas were tainted with dusts and dumps of bird could also be seen on them.

Not wanting to get emotional, she turned heading towards the direction of her mother's former room. On getting there, she saw the bedroom door left slightly open.

Walking into the room, her brows furrowed immediately.

The room was a little but nicely kempt and clean. The bed was arranged in contrast with what she saw on her way to the room, not a single side was out of place. Little or no dust was seen on the bedside table, including the floor. The window bonds were closed and the room was exhibiting a certain kind of warmness.

Her curiosity was piqued but she waved it. She is not here for any of that. She is still going to come back for this but for now there's something important she need to get her hands on.

Walking to a corner of the room, she stopped in front of a Nordic statue made with a golden steel brocaded on the wall. The statue was that of a woman named Frigga. Wife of Odin, leader of the Gods and Mother to Baldur. Here she is seen sitting on a flower patterned throne, holding a large staff in her left hand and a set of keys in her right. A small lamb lies by her feet, along with a detailed chest and vase. The statue is Goddess of marriage and protector of home.

Kimberly lifted her right hand slowly, her fingers trailing on the statue for quite some minutes. However, they stopped at the sheep lying beside her feet. The sheep was facing upfront and she slowly tilt its head to the left side.

Immediately, the wall cracked opened to reveal door of secret passage to the underground coven. She placed her right hand on the palm sized round button on the wall by the right.

"Clink!"

"Clink!"

"Clink!"

"Clink...!"

Turning it to about four times, she pushed it in and the door in front of her opened revealing a wooden step going into the depth of it. Without looking back, she entered.

"Lumos.."

Kimberly said immediately she walked into the the extra pitch black underground coven stead. But as usual she was disappointed, nothing happened.

Her powers as a witch were sealed since birth. Even when she transmigrated, her mother's power were absorbed by hers but it still remained sealed. She have tried everything she could but it's seems that her powers are not showing up anytime soon. And that was the reason for visit to the coven today.

She brought out her phone from her pants left pocket to serve as the light.

However...

She paused when she saw something definitely queer but familiar.

A black cloak..

It was hanging at the usual place her's used to be kept!

From Helena's memories, Kimberly remember that she was buried the black cloak at Salem's lair courtyard. Or did she make another that she couldn't remember? She thought staring at the cloak.

Heaving a rough sigh, she slowly took her eyes off it and she went to the alter.

On getting to the alter, she walked to the back of it. She slightly bent to open the inner back of the alter, she halted when her eyes landed on something....

The red candles...

The three red candles that were on the alter looked like they were new and were used not less than forty minutes ago...!

Touching the candles respectively, her suspicions was confirmed. The candles were still warm...

Someone was here... The owner of the black cloak..!!

Alerted..!!

Briskly, she moved to the inner of the alter. On opening it, her eyes darkened immediately.

What she seek... was gone...
