The Guardian Beasts

Kimberly's body heated and her chest felt like it was being burnt, it was the sign of the effect but she cared less. She channelled her energy to Lucia whose mouth wouldn't stop blabbering.

And all of a sudden...

"Hah!" Lucia gasped and they all turned to her direction.

Lucia suddenly felt like she was fucked in the nose. Her nose was burning her as if a certain spice was stuffed inside it and slowly it began bleeding.

At that same moment, the flame of the burning red candle which stood in the mid air went off and dropped on he table just like the first one.

Feeling satisfied with her work, Kimberly smirked devilishly before opening her eyes slowly.

"You... you are bleeding.." Andrew who was beside Lucia pointed out and her hands went to her nose instantaneously.

Rubbing it off with the back of her left palm, her eyes landed on the blood on her hand and her jaw clenched.

Lucia snapped her head towards Kimberly whose face confirmed that she was the source of what was happening to her.

A proud devilish smirk was plastered on Kimberly's face as both shared a heated eye lock.

Lucia's eye darkened as she stared at Kimberly, she took her unawares.

"How dare you.?!" Lucia roared in anger and immediately the atmosphere inside the cave shifted. Silence engulfed the cave as all attention were now shifted to the both of them.

However...

Knowing that Lucia was referring to her, Kimberly's arrogance activated. She dramatically looked sideways before breaking the silence.

"Perhaps, are you talking to me..?" She asked feigning ignorance. Her eyes widened a little in a cute way as if she was unaware of what she just did.

Lucas who was watching what was happening smiled inwardly. He knew what Kimberly was doing, she was playing Lucia.

"What an arrogant little sheep..." He muttered.

However...

"Yes, am talking to you ..!" Lucia foolishly roared in rage, her nose had stopped bleeding.

"Oh.. well, you asked me how special I am and I decided to show just that. Were you surprised..?" Kimberly asked with a obvious taunting smile and all of a sudden her hands began shaking. The effect...

She had to hide her hand in her inner cloak to avoid any suspicion.

"You..!" Lucia nearly spit blood.

The audacity of this lady..!

And with that her, her rage intensified. With a clenched jaw and fisted palms, her eyes snapped towards the candle that dropped few minutes ago and instantly she lifted it in the mid air.

"Lumos..." Lucia muttered, instantly the candle caught flame and she smirked.

No one in the cave talked, all was waiting to watch the show that was about to happen.

On the other hand, Kimberly never fazed..

She had expected that when she made her nose burn in the first place..

At that moment, the candle that stood in the mid air split to five in a blink of an eye and instantaneously charged towards Kimberly...

However.....

It was few inches for the candles to get to where Kimberly was and suddenly....

"Enough...!"

Louis's voice echoed and instantly the flames went off and the candles dropped falling to the ground.

"And what the hell are you trying to do..?!" He asked.

"What am trying to do..?!" Lucia asked obviously annoyed with the way she was interrupted.

"I.."

"You wouldn't want to break the law.." Michelle said interrupting her. She wanted to cover up as a way to show that she wouldn't want anything bad to happen to her goddaughter.

"Would you..?" She asked.

"I don't mind breaking the law as long as I teach this bitch here a lesson that she will never forget in her..."

"That's enough..! Lucia.." Louis said.

"It is Miss Hills's first day here as a member of this coven and she is yet to know the rules of this coven.." He began.

"And you, as an old member who have been here for ages should have known what the third rule of this coven says..." Louis said apprehending Lucia. It was obvious she was the one who started the misunderstanding.

Kimberly didn't say a word as her body was being devoured by pains. Her body was present while her soul was slowly moving out of her.

However, few minutes later...

After the misunderstanding was addressed, they began the main reason for their gathering that day.

"As you all have heard, about the sudden crumble of the cursed castle at the netherworld forest of our clan a week ago..." Louis started and instantly Michelle's heart skipped three beats at a go.

"But.."

"we are not here to discuss about the castle... But, we are here to discuss two different things.." He said as he stared from one member to another, waiting for the words to sink into them before he continued.

"First, the whereabouts of the guardian beasts... The Cerberus and Cyclops."

"And second, what they are after... which we all know that it is none other than..."

"The Grimoire..."

Meanwhile...

"Aaaahhhhh..!"

An ear splitting scream was heard inside the woods in middle of the night. Few minutes after the scream was heard, two figures walked out of the forest and it was a man and a woman. They were both covered in blood while their eyes were bloodshot.

They were Cyclops and Cerberus.

They had finished devouring life out of three teenagers who had camped inside the woods. It has been weeks since they came out of the Cursed castle in search of the Grimoire and the body they changed into has been wearing out. They needed to stay human thus they had to maintain the body and that was why they needed human life and energy for that.

Taking a glance at the three bodies, they were dried without any trace of life in it. Black veins could be seen on their faces as their lifeless body laid with the backside facing upwards. Small leaves of grasses and stains of dried blood could be seen on one of the bodies. Carefully looking at the body, one could tell that the person struggled for his life before he met his doom.

However...

Few minutes after they devoured the teenager's life and energy, they went back to their lifeless bodies. They took off their blood stained clothes and quickly changed it with the teenager's.

After they were done, they slowly left the forest and began walking towards the clan.
