~~ INSIDE THE FOREST~~
The faint moonlight glowing through the window of the hut fell on Alexander's face, casting a long shadow over his mesmerizing features. Kimberly stared at him for a quite some time, resisting the temptation to lift her hand and touch his cheek as she tried to match his unfamiliar yet familiar face to her memory of him.
She slowly took her eyes off him as it was already obvious, how much she was gawking at him.
They were already inside the hut, since they came into the hut Alexander hasn't said a word and so does Kimberly and it's making the atmosphere a bit awkward.
However...
Kimberly seemed to be in a deep thought....
Is it that she's in a dreamland or what..?
What could Mr. Mysterious man be doing here.. or should she say what brought him here or should she rather ask how he got there..?
Could he be the old man's son who had saved her..? But if he is, then how did he know that she was in danger..? Kimberly thought.
Could he be a supernatural being just like her..?
Could he this..? could he that..?
The more Kimberly thought about it, the more she felt like something was pointing her to an important hint. Yet the answer was just slightly out of her reach. She searched through her memories futilely until she became tired and still didn't find the tiniest clue.
She was still thinking when...
"You.., finally called me.." Alex said breaking the utmost silence, interrupting Kimberly's ramming thoughts.
What is he talking about..?
"What are you talking about..?" Kimberly asked in confusion immediately she heard what Alex said.
"What do you mean by, I finally called you..?" She added with a furrowed brows.
However...
Alex on the other hand didn't say any word and slowly took out his phone. He scrolled to his call logs, and turned it towards Kimberly to see.
"Does this ring a bell...?" Alex asked showing Kimberly his call log of five days ago, the same date she first went to her clan's coven.
"What's that?" Kimberly asked confused as stared at the phone in his hand. But immediately she saw a familiar number...
"Wait.. What is my number doing here..?" Kimberly blurted out foolishly, earning a chuckle from Alex.
If Ethan and Roman were to witness this, they would have died of out shock. The almighty Alexander Lee Just chuckled.. seriously..?
Well..., no one could blame him. I mean what type of dumb question was that..?
Wasn't it obvious why her number was in his call log and she's asking..?
"Do you think I would answer that question of yours.?" Alex asked and Kimberly frowned slightly pouting her lips.
When did she call him that she doesn't remember at all... she thought.
Alex chuckled seriously, staring at her face. She looks so cute, with her pouted lips and her spotless face that was grace with a cute frown...
What an arrogant little sheep she is...
"Oh.. kitten, I knew you'd never remember that day.." He said and Kimberly got more confused.
"What day?" She asked,and he smiled.
~~~ FLASHBACK THREE DAYS AGO ~~~
~~ DARK NORTH CLAN COVEN ~~
"we are not here to discuss about the castle... But, we are here to discuss two different things.."Louis said as he stared from one member to another, waiting for the words to sink into them before he continued.
"First, the whereabouts of the guardian beasts... The Cerberus and Cyclops."
"And second, what they are after... which we all know that it is none other than..."
"The Grimoire..." Graciela and Andrew said unison. It was obvious what the guardians beasts were after if not the Grimoire.
Every clan in the supernatural world have been seeking for the Grimoire for ages. And now that the change of getting the Almighty Grimoire in their hands, no one would want it to fall into the hands of their enemies.
However, on the other hand...
Kimberly felt extremely dizzy and almost stumbled. There was an excruciating pain inside her chest, she tightened her eyes praying for the pain to subside and it did a little.
At that moment...
"Kim.." Michelle suddenly called and turned to her, earning the attention of others. She had seen her close her eyes tightly and since she's in doubt of Kimberly's powers she pretended to ask.
"Kim.., are you alright?" She asked but Kimberly had already seen through her pretense.
She opened her eyes but didn't say a word, she could only see things in a blurry form but slowly her vision cleared up.
"Kim, what's wrong?" Michelle tried touching her but she jerked her hand away.
Kimberly nearly snapped but slowly moved away from her to she wouldn't notice her trembling hands. Her eyes filled with contempt and disgust as she glared at Michelle's hand.
"I'm fine.." Kimberly muttered to Michelle's hearing but she wasn't convinced. Michelle wanted to reach out towards her when the sound of an excruciating cough
echoed in the cave.
Instantaneously, all heads snapped towards the direction instinctively including Kimberly's. The cough echoed again and it appears to be coming from Lucia.
A frown suddenly formed on Louis's face in the meantime. Fortunately, the cough stopped soon enough, and she somehow managed to pull herself back together quickly.
However.., none of the things happening at that time seemed to matter to Kimberly at that moment. All she ever wanted was to get out of the cave that instant. And luckily, things turned in her favour when...
"It seems one of us has taken some injuries..
Our discussion ... may have been too
distracting for her at the moment." Kimberly suddenly managed to say and Louis's frown deepened.
"Just as I thought she's about to chide me again..." Lucia thought with a glare.
However.., since they were almost done with the day's discussion...
"Considering Lucia's situation, may I suggest that we return on a different day if the discussion needs to be continued?" Graciela said earning a nods from some of the rest. Then...
"We came to discuss about the missing Grimoire, as to how
to find it so that it won't fall into our enemies hands and the conclusion for
that issue is already clear." Louis said and turned gesturing at Kimberly and Graciela.
"what they suggested isn't unreasonable.. Either way, the decision doesn't have to be
made today. We can easily keep a close
eye on the matter in the meantime." He added dismissively.
However...
Immediately Louis said that, Kimberly secretly heaved a sign of relief and immediately joined the others as they began leaving the cave. But unknown to her, a pair of eyes watching her darkened immediately they all stepped out of the cave.
